I Restore A Rusty 75 Year Old Lock - Surprise Inside!
I restore an extremely rusty 75 year old lock. But what's inside shocked me. How did it get in there? Good thing I have all my rust removal tools to turn this old lock into something new.
If you have something you would like me to restore send me an email at business@lostandrestored.com

Just lovely.... Michelangelo would be proud... Of you and your angel...
The man needs one of them sandblasting booth setups.
Maybe a wasp decided to nest in the lock. We’re there lots of spider legs and husks inside? That would help determine if it was a wasp/hornet or not.

Should do a crossover with the Lockpicking Lawyer :)
Wonderful job restoring that lock. Looks much better, too. Great work.
Nice results.
Obviously simple but I am sure it was very effective. Nice key cutting work, and blue definitely sets this lock among the others you have done. 😁👍🇺🇸
Another great restoration 👍🔐 Congratulations and greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪🖐️
Great job! Next time, leave it for 24 hours. It'll do the trick 👍
Which took longer? Restoring the lock, or making the key? How long did each job take?

Making the key for this restoration. Each job takes about a week to do.

@@lostandrestored < Yes! My guess was correct. Thank you. JW
The key is called a sprung key because that is a sprung lock. You can call it a barrel key as well.
Awesome job, I really appreciate the key you made
Beautiful restoration mister well done

Good job! I thinked awesome. Congratulations!
Nicely done.😊
Nice key work, MIke!
Where do you get the small hand size sandpaper and handle from?
Have you tried Evapo-Rust remover?? I've use it and it works great and never had to soak anything twice. It might be better than that WD_40 rust remover, I haven't use it before so I can't say. Sorry if I have said something before about it it's just such a great product! Excellent restoration and you did a fine job restoring it!!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up I'm late to watch so you might not even look at this
Great job
Muito bom !
Супер замок вышел. 👍🔐 И цвет красивый. Замок как новый. 🔐 👋 🇺🇦 🌻
Full supporting 👍👍
From what I understand, it's called a "barrel key". The end looks like a barrel. I like the blue paint.

Pin hole or hollow barrel. From what I understand, anytime it's a round shaft, it's a barrel key. If the barrel key has that hole, it's a hollow barrel.

Very interesting, thanks for that information 👍
You could've used sandblasting machine. It would be much easier to reach the rusted part removed than scraping.
Every time my son sees someone restore a lock , he asks if it was from Game of Thrones... they see the trailers on HBO... and anything with some rust is from Game of Thrones ... .nice restoration... nothing seems out of your league ... Top Marks.
Excellent job. But this lock is easy to break
nice
Would you mind sharing your camera setup?

Nice key. Good Video as always. Just the paint job is not really satisfying. On the other hand... perfect is the enemy of done, right?
Awesome! A always appreciate watching your work. It’s always so good. I also like seeing the way things work. Keep up the great work!
probably once was a barn door lock

As it's simple steel, and the latch point on the hasp doesn't even really connect, I suspect it's just a cheap cabinet lock, like you'd put on a basic paint cabinet in a shop. (two doors, one hasp across). More to keep random people from grabbing than for security.
👍👍👍😎😎😎
The front piece of the lock didn’t look very solid too me very flimsy
I love how he used a fast saw blade and almost chopped his finger off

Hey man, you're not fooling me. I know you're not really slapping your hand down and fixing those parts instantly. Smh....
Best Keymaster!!! Best Locksmith!!! Best Magician!!!!! We all know you’re great worker!!! I really like “Lock” master. Please don’t lock me up! 🤡💡🔨⚒🪚⚙️🗝🔑🔐👍
idk why but it looks pretty fake. the rust looks new and there are no distortions in the metal
