Say what you want about Chris Benoit and what he did , it was horrible no doubt and no Matter how bad his CTE was didn't justify what he did , but still him winning the 2004 RR entering first and lasting a whole 60 minutes was absolutely something to behold and the winning the championship in WrestleMania 20 in one of the most legendary triple threat matches and then sharing this moment with Eddie Guerrero was beyond Iconic, if you can reach within your heart and Separate the art from the artist , Chris Benoit was without a doubt a legend among legends in this business

Chris Benoit was a tradgety. Huge shout out to Chris Nowinski, I left this comment in the last Rumble video. He retired from wrestling to study medical science, and he was able to determine that Benoit was so concussed, and his brain was so damaged, that he came to the conclusion that he basically had demensia, like his brain was really messed up. Same thing that happened with my old childhood hero, Junior Seau.

Great words at the beginning! For me, I can’t enjoy Benoit matches anymore. I thought I could drew a line but as soon as I watched some matches I realized I can’t enjoy his diving headbutts knowing the end of the story. For universe mode and rumbles I replace him with Brian Pillman. Both had a similar height and weight, both where trained by Stu hart and Pillman had to go way to early.

  • @austindailey8746

You should watch the stone cold podcasts. They tell you a lot of the inside stuff. Every royal rumble or king of the ring is voted by every wrestler on who they like to win. After that, they kinda decide for themselves on when they leave the ring. The story behind hurricane was really cool. He was such a humble guy, they told him he was gonna win it, then he said no, give it to someone else. Lol rikishi was the top 5 to win, but most of them are so cool, they just wanna give good shows for fans. Sting was my fave for a long time. Then stone cold.

The Hurricane already won one of your Rumble Replays, and kind of interesting you mentioned Mark Coleman as he is like on life support after saving his family in a fire. According to Goldberg he didn't face Austin because he signature and finisher moves was too dangerous for Austin's neck injury and I remember they tried to make up with it with Goldberg vs Lesnar with Austin as the special guest referee.

Before Chris Benoit’s entire legacy was shattered, culminating in an event where he committed a ‘horrifying’ act against his own family, this man entered at number one and would go on to break a Royal Rumble record by winning this match after one hour, one minute, and thirty-seven seconds (A record that would stand for two years till the 2006 rumble). Unfortunately, in this rendition of the event, this would not be Benoit’s match to win, and the script was completely flipped. For one man, out of the twenty-nine other potential candidates (Including those who already won a match this season), this moment would mark a monumental moment where he’d join the ranks of other champions. That man is none other than one most familiar with gold long before coming to the WWE… Kurt Angle… the Olympic Gold Medalist… how would his career have been different if he won the 2004 rumble instead? Regardless of if he had won this rumble or not, he still would’ve gone on to fight Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship that year (A match he ultimately didn’t win, but still he gave it his best). However, if he ‘did’ win hypothetically, imagine how big of a performance he could’ve had if he was fighting Triple H & Shawn Michaels in place of Chris Benoit. Either he could’ve beaten the two men for the title… or Shawn Michaels could’ve pulled the upset if he super kicked him while he applied the Ankle Lock on Triple H… or… Triple H could’ve retained alternatively. In my opinion, despite everything that destroyed Chris Benoit’s career, I’ll never forget how great a moment it was when he celebrated that title win alongside his best friend Eddie… the question is: Could the impact have been the same for the fans if Kurt Angle won during the main event? Now who was my MVP of the 2004 rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty men featured in this match, only FOURTEEN men secured the most eliminations (One star short of reaching the halfway mark). The highest count reached up to ‘5’ eliminations, which is four points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to: Kane Since Kurt Angle won the rumble, despite holding a similar elimination account, I award Kane for the effort he put in to get as far as he could during this rumble. When it comes to Kane, there’s a reason why he holds the record for most eliminations combined with his total appearances in rumble events (Including his time as a dentist). At the very least, I believe Kane previously won one of the rumbles during this season so we know for a fact he still holds a shot at winning the champions’ rumble whenever that may take place. The nominees for the Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance are: Rikishi… Shelton Benjamin… and Goldberg. In my opinion, all three competitors had ‘very’ disappointing performances during their time in this rumble. But if I were to pick someone, I just wasn’t impressed with based on how they performed, I’m going to have to go with Goldberg in this case. Not just concerning the fact he didn’t make the most of his position as the final entry in this match and not just because he didn’t have Brock Lesnar screwing him during this bout, but it hardly felt like he really gave much offense during this bout. Even Shelton Benjamin had thrown a few swings before his elimination. Ieither way, this was not their best performance for ‘any’ of these competitors. It will not be long until the Olympic Gold Medalist gets set for the toughest fight of his career as we prepare for the upcoming champions’ rumble. In the meantime, we ask a few additional questions: Who did YOU want to win the 2004 rumble? Will Benoit’s crime forever tarnish any success he had as a wrestler and not as a man? If Test was never attacked before his scheduled appearance, could he have been dominant during this rumble? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next? P.S. Why isn’t the 1988 rumble included in the playlist? Is it because there’s only twenty men?

Ricky - I don’t think it’s a computer performance issue but rather when too many players are in the ring the moves get interrupted by running into the other wrestlers. If 15 wrestlers are in there you can’t do too much more than punch and kick. Just my opinion… idk

Random Wrestling Sketches *William Regal is in his office, sitting behind his desk and checking his watch repeatedly* William: (thinking audibly) *Where can Ric Flair be? It's two months since I made that request, surely he can't have left the country altogether.* Ava: (through the desk comm) Ric Flair to see you, Mr. Regal. William: Ah! Splendid! Be a sport and send him in, Ava. *In comes Ric Flair, dressed even more unconventionally, wearing safety goggles, gloves, and a white lab coat. He looks just like a stereotypical mad scientist, and his crazed grin doesn't help* Ric: Hey, Willy! WOOO!! Good to see ya, bud! (shakes his hand) William: Thanks, Ric, but please, *don't* call me "Willy". I don't want any gutter-minded oiks listening in and getting the wrong ideas. *Cut to Sheamus and Nikki Cross with their ears pressed to the office wall, cackling immaturely together like naughty schoolchildren* Ric: Anyway, Will. I just thought you should know, that request you made? Took me two months, but I've finally fulfilled it. William: You have? Ric: Yeah, I have the results waiting for us down at the locker room. Follow me, would ya? *Cut to William and Ric walking down the corridor to the locker room* William: And you're sure it's ready? Ric: Oh, absolutely! I got you just what you asked for, letter and spirit of the word! *Ric opens the locker room doors, revealing what appears to be Tamina Snuka* William: Uh, Ric? This just looks like Tamina. Ric: Wait for it, Will. (to Tamina) Hey, ladies! Mr. Regal's here to talk to you! Line up! *Immediately, Tamina stands to attention. From behind her, also running into formation, is... another Tamina Snuka. Then another. And another. And another, and so on, until a complete line of six Tamina Snukas is spread out to the wall, all standing to attention, smiling, and waiting expectantly. William is... incredulous* William: And... *this* is what you spent two months working on? Ric: Oh, yeah! I had Charlotte's help with some of the more complicated, science-y bits. You would not believe how much hard work goes into learning how to clone someone, but there you go! Six lovely Taminas, all ready to do... whatever you ask of them, really. William: (starting to look a bit annoyed) Okay. Can they, then... pot multi-coloured balls on a table? Ric/The Tamina clones: *What?/No, wait. What?* William: (sternly leaning over Ric) Mr. Flair. Were you wearing your hearing aid properly when I made this request two months ago? Ric: (sudden dawning expression) Uh... no, I don't believe I was, Will. Why? *William suddenly grabs Ric's ear and slams him to the floor, pinching it* William: BECAUSE I ASKED YOU TO MAKE ME A *SNOOKER CUE,* YOU DEAF OLD FOOL!! *NOT* A *SNUKA QUEUE!!* Ric: Ow! Ow! "Snooker"? William: Oh, sorry, I forget, you Americans don't know that word. BILLIARDS!! POOL!! THAT... FLIPPING GAME YOU PLAY, WITH THE TABLE!! AND THE NETS!! AND THE WOODEN STICKS THAT YOU TAP THE BALLS WITH!! *THOSE* KIND OF CUES!! *THAT'S* WHAT I WANTED!! (Lets go of Ric's ear and tries to calm down) Not a *clone army!* Ric: (nursing his ear) Ughhh... Great, I really picked the wrong time to indulge in a new hobby. Tamina Clone #3: Uh... Mr. Regal? William: Yes? Tamina Clone #3: Is there anything that we actually *can* do for you? I mean, my sisters and I don't really want to go through the whole cliched melodramatic clonehood angst and wonder what our calling in life is. *The other clones nod in accordance* William: (raising a finger to his chin) Hmmm... Actually, I *might* have an idea. *Cut to: Stephanie McMahon, sitting next to a big TV screen* Stephanie: Well, after that whole ordeal, Mr. Regal finally made the most of an awkward situation. He decided to put each Tamina clone that Ric had created in a tag team, so that, for one night, one lucky member of the Women's Division would each have the opportunity to fight alongside the Snuka in the ring. *A montage of different women paired up with a Snuka clone- each one dressed differently to give them some individuality- flashes through the TV, while Stephanie watches and chuckles* Stephanie: "But, Stephanie," I hear you ask, "What happened to the *real* Tamina? What was she doing while all her clones were competing instead?" Well, I'm happy to say, she's taking a holiday with a certain cousin of her's... special someone, shall we say. *Cut to the real Tamina Snuka, relaxing in a hammock tied to a tree growing next to Bag End, reading a funny book about Andre the Giant. Bilbo Baggins then comes out to her, carrying a tea cup* Bilbo: Hello, Ms. Snuka! Here's that tea you ordered earlier. Tamina: Cheers, Bilbo. (she takes the teacup, then watches him as he walks away, smiling) You struck gold with this one, Nia. Author's Note: Yes, I'm *still* doing the old Nia X Bilbo joke. What can I say? Sometimes I get an idea and I just run with it.
