It looks extremely healthy. I’m not about natural or permed hair. I think every woman should be in a healthy hair mindset.

Im a licensed cosmetologist and you did a great job relaxing your hair. You were mindful of application timing, replenished your hair bonds with the keratin treatment and picked excellent products to prep your blow dry with. You have beautiful hair. And I've had clients literally in tears because their hair was kinky coily that sometimes they couldn't even get a comb through it. So ill never knock a relaxer. Have you ever heard of a texture release? Instead of chemical its an amino conditioner straightening system. I love the one by Avalon... Great job luv ✨

Your hair is gorgeous!! I don't think people realize how long the hair actually takes to process and they assume as soon as you put the relaxer on It's automatically making the hair straight when in actuality that's not the case especially if you have a more course texture. I don't self relax anymore, but when I did, I stopped using timers and took my time relaxing because I was always trying to beat the clock, and my hair would get under processed. Great video 💜

Its so tempting to go relaxed. Its easier to have length retention with relaxed hair cause its always stretched. If I had relaxed hair my hair would be at my butt by now instead of midback when fully stretched.

I’m finally totally natural after a 2 year transitioning. I’m so ready for a relaxer. I’m going to give it a few more months then I’m getting a relaxer.
Hi there❤ I wanted to relax my hair yesterday but I couldn't as I had to do a shampoo, so I have to wait until the next week-end to be able to relax it. Watching your video was so satisfying as I felt like I was relaxing my own hair 😂😅 I hope that it will help me to wait as I am a "creamy crack" (I relax my hair every 2 months... Gosh...)😭😭😭 Your son is so cute, he gave me baby fever and your beautiful hair seems to be very healthy, nice job, you are doing great. I wish you good luck in your hair journey. Love ❤

You did a Beautiful job! It’s absolutely gorgeous! But just a quick tip from a licensed cosmetologist. When applying a virgin relaxer to virgin hair, you want to start off in the mid shaft of the hair to the ends, then at the end apply it to the roots. Your roots are going to process faster and the middle shaft will need more time to process. Thats the reason why it was still curly at the end. But you still did awesome! Love it!💞💞

Turned out really nice… super thick
I like that the hair has texture. But I think a lye relaxer maybe a little better just be careful with the different textures. (Dermarcation may lead to breakage). Good job apply to the middle shaft first then the ends (since you were going a corrective relaxer) however, I felt like you should of went back applied more to the roots and then smoothed the hair. Just my opinion, it came out great though.
You're hair looks great. I think some women are returning back to the relaxer. I am considering it. I was one of those girls who went to the shop every two weeks. But the pandemic changed that and move into a new city, my hair went back to its sticker state because it wasn't being pressed every two weeks. I'm considering going back to the relaxer.

Hi new subscriber here 😊 my last relaxer was maybe 15 years ago I'm so ready to go back to my relaxed hair. Are there steps to prep dor for a relaxer since its been so long or just go straight to relaxing it as is ? Thank you
Girl it looks so good. I relaxed my hair last year after being natural for like 15 years. But the breakage was awful and I immediately regretted it. How do you prevent breakage?? It’s also weird how now I have texture after a relaxer versus when I was younger my hair was bone straight. But I like having a lil texture after a relaxer.
@breezzeeshoulders2610

I think by keeping your hair moisturized and staying on your relaxer schedule of every 3 months is how you avoid breakage.
@AliviaMae
8 ай бұрын
Thanks girl!!❤️ I can actually do a video on this. But Moisturizing & Sealing is what does it for me! Find a good moisturizer, and a good hair oil. Whenever I notice my hair breaking, I make sure to keep it moisturized & tucked away! Especially the ends. & making sure to keep my hair tucked away REALLY helps too. Like keeping it in cornrows underneath wigs. & I only wash my hair once a month (I know that sounds disgusting lol but it works for me! The less I handle my hair, the more it grows). Then on wash days, I ALWAYS do a hot oil treatment or deep conditioner. If your hair is breaking, it may need a protein treatment. Your hair may just be a little resistant like mine!! That texture is STUBBORN girl I get it lol
How did u retain length
I’m watching this because I plan on relaxing my hair . I learned that the relaxer should only sit for 15 mins , I seen you use a 25 min timer . Just stuck in that area . How long should I take to apply the relaxer and how long should I allow it to sit after I’m done applying the relaxer ?
The front section of my hair is heat damaged due to months of leave out. Can I still get a relaxer but maybe just leave it on for less time?
Wow Your hair is so beautiful and healthy! How did you manage to grow it so long and thick?

Thank you!! Keeping it in cornrows, tucked away under wigs & making sure it’s moisturized!
I relaxed my hair once a year as well got my first relaxer last year so my one year will be tomorrow on the 17 of may . So i was wondering how to go about it. This video explained the steps beautifully. So i will do mine tomorrow and hopefully to get the same results you got. Thanks for posting
Instead of using the box I buy the tub and the full size bottles of the shampoo, conditioner etc. makes more sense
What’s is the name of the blow dryer used in the video?
I thought treatment comes before perm not the other was around? Please let me know if it matters?
What about grey hair ? I’m afraid to relax or do keratin, but can’t handle the dryness anymore !

No one can completely run from frizz, so your hair was fine in that other shot in the video.
May I ask why you pulled the relaxer through to the ends of your hair when you were only doing a touch up on the new growth? Are you not concerned about over processed hair on the ends
@aja2993
7 ай бұрын
I wondered about the same thing. When I was relaxed, my beautician would only put product on my new growth. She mentioned using the product on the already relaxed hair would lead to over processing and potentially damage down the line.

I got a question. My hair was relaxed before I put texturizer in. The first time I put it on. My hair did not come out curly or textured. I did it again and I saw very little change. The directions told me to leave it in for 8 to 10 mins. (For fine short hair) I wonder what went wrong? Do you think I should have left it on longer?
@judasisco1156
8 ай бұрын
A texturizer is just a mild relaxer it doesn’t make the hair curly it’s really intended to put on natural curly hair to loosen the curl. If you leave it on too long the hair will become bone straight.
@christalchanae257
8 ай бұрын
@@judasisco1156 ohhh so it's intended for natural hair. I did give my hair a wave pattern. I'm gonna wait until my new growth grows out more & texturize it again & see what happens
@virginiawolf1708

@christalchanae257 The texturizer will work on the new growth but not the relaxed. The relaxed hair has been permanently straightened.
Did my hair like this turned out exactly like yours and it broke off. I was advised on a corrective relaxer that was so expensive I decided to just go bald. 4 years later my hair is back, people saying it’s healthy just dk . The straight parts need different love then the curly parts it’s hard but I’m excited to see your hair journey.

Guys remember not to relax your hair more than 3 times a year. Try going for even once or twice. Check the ingredients for endocrine disruptors too and monitor your cycle and hormones.

Although your hair looks great.. I’m cringing thinking about the long term effects. I was thinking about going back to relaxing but changed my mind after all the current lawsuits about these products causing cancer, after doing my research. I decided I’m not putting this crap in my hair any longer and decided to take better care of my natural hair. Although Ors brand seem harmless there are still chemicals that are carcinogenic and endocrine-disrupting substances. Basically with long term use it can def cause cancer. Girl I bought a new flat iron and heat protectant, now after washing and heavy moisturizing I now flat iron my hair to keep it manageable and keep my straight look.. no hairstyle is worth your life..
