I actually think your idea of mixing the metal with the bugmans glow was a good idea, i would have done another layer of just metal after the wash. But you did a great job for your first mini after so long!

Truly! A serious job well done. Mixing metallics with regular colors is actually a really handy trick so walking into by accident here is pretty fun. Nonmetallic pigments are almost always more opaque and that helps with both coverage and more contrast in the end result.
Looks good. Needed a primer to keep the paint from rubbing off so easy
