I REGRET Going To Austria!

Traveling really opens your eyes to the world and sometimes you need to be outside of your comfort zone to grow, the cold weather really put me outside of my comfort zone! Salzburg, Austria is a beautiful city with a lot of history, including the hometown of Mozart and the filming location of the Sound of Music. I should have went to Greece 😂 enjoy!

I loved Salzburg. I remember going to the Hellbrunn Palace and that was pretty cool because it had trick fountains. I love the entire country of Austria, beautiful place.

OMG I laughed so hard when you busted out It's Tricky but you missed the opportunity to sing "Here Comes the Rain Again" which is one of my favorite songs. Truly disappointed you didn't put the camera up to the eye holes in that door. Very smart not to put your eyes to it because you never know what could be lurking...The cemetery was gorgeous! I would spend hours in a place like that. I love religious iconography and visiting churches is one of my favorite things to do as a tourist. It's very cool you got the experience the organ concert.

HAHAHA Alice, the waterwheel was making the perfect beat! I wasn't going anywhere near the eyeholes, I did see people inside so I wasn't risking it... The cemetery was surprisingly very peaceful and well taken care of. The organ concert was a treat! Thank you for watching 😁

April weather in Germany and the whole region is traditionally very versatile and it's typically changing a lot, often several times on the day. We say "Der April macht was er will" (April does what he wants to do). So basically you got the most perfect April weather possible with rain, sun, snow and hail changing several times during the day.

Hey Ben, I don't regret you going to Austria! This was so good. I love your rule about pushing on a door to see if it opens. Now, you need to add to that rule that if a door has eye holes, you must look through them. LOL. I enjoyed your made-up facts, "Rappin' with Ben" and the fact that you crashed a concert and made a "disturbance." You are the perfect person to have a travel vlog because everywhere you go, you get up to something. BTW, you must not be a fan of musicals, but I do recommend The Sound of Music. It's a good one. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Thank you, as always Matthew! HAHA I will not be adding a new rule to look through eye holes, especially in a cemetery! I guess I got to see a free concert, but the concert did ruin my audio tour so it's fair 🤣 I should really watch The Sound of Music 😁 Thanks again!

kudos to the Chinese speaking snippet! nitpicking: should be 下雨 instead of 下雪 (or was it actually snowing there). I travelled a pretty similar route one week ahead of you (plus Berlin in the beginning and Vienna at the end). Tbh I was a bit "bored" at the end, buildings/cathedrals/palaces looked similar, couldn't really tell if I'm in Berlin or Vienna, so I'm very curious abt your thoughts on these cities as an European. New vid idea?😉

Hi Ben, I don't know if you follow the You Tuber Ben Robson but he is another Travel Creator. He has a video about Salzburg Austria and also he took a day trip to Hallstatt Austria which was a very beautiful place. They have buses that you can catch from Salzburg which take you to Hallstatt one day, round trip.

Great trip, again! BUT, go back, look in those 2 eyeholes in the doorway, and tell us what you saw😵‍💫. I found this online: “”Most Catholics are familiar with the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, commemorating the three Magi’s visit to the infant Jesus. This day, celebrated on January 6th is also known as the Three Kings Day, Little Christmas or, Twelfth Night. However, some Catholics may not be familiar with the tradition of “chalking the doors” in celebration of this day. For centuries, the faithful have marked the entrance to their homes with a symbol of faith, asking that Jesus Christ bless all who live within the home. The message is as follows, [the first two digits of the year] + C + M + B + [the last two digits of the year]”. The “C”, “M”, and “B” stand for the names of the three Magi - Caspar, Malchior & Balthazar, and the “+” represents the cross. For example, in 2023 people will mark “20 + C + M + B + 23” in chalk above their front door. The message also abbreviates the Latin phrase, Christus Mansionem Benedicat, meaning “May Christ bless the house.” For centuries this tradition has been carried out by our brothers and sisters in faith around the world. Any color chalk used can be used. This is a wonderful tradition to adopt to show all who visit your home that your faith is strong as you enter the New Year!””

Too bad even Salzburg could not escape the curse of graffiti. It's comforting to know that there are countries with zero tolerance for graffiti. Austria should have been one of them.
