Cheers for the support, mate. I might have to look into the pro, see it popping up on eBay a lot. I’m usually ok with thicker watches like the Monza, but the Black Bay feels way bigger.

Did you sell it?

I have it - I love it.... I don't mind the heft...I think the combination of colours, the black, red and gold - especially the mat gold works fantastically well - especially in low light / night light... in the direct sunshine - I admit the colour doesn't work as well - but thats the same with most two-tones.... the vintage vibe is especially good - at least with this piece the gilt/gold features on the dial and bezel are succinct with the bracelet makes it complete - unlike the 58's or the 58GMT - just thinking about it now, just the fact a lot of folks seem to dislike it makes it more appealing.... each to their own I guess

I agree that it’s a pretty piece, but it’s just a bit flashy for me personally. I have just put it on a brown leather strap, though. Now I’m enjoying it much more with the toned down look.

The watch has got too many things going on. Gold works only with one other main color. Not two. Also i find these black bay diver watch cases a bit overbuilt. Seiko makes a similar looking case but thinner for a 3 hand or gmt. Usually i find that people usually buy tudor or rolex primarily for the bezel. Thats it. Take away the bezel, say on a gmt ii rolex, and all your left with is a square case with a plain diver dial that seiko does for much less. If youre going for a nice watch to enjoy on the regular, get a more elegant shaped watch from omega, tag, or grand seiko. They have all better caees than tudor. And it is mainly the watch case that really makes the watch in terms of looks and wearability. A minimal design would suit better than a thick watch with blue, red, and yellow all about it.

I had it, tried so hard to like it, in the end it just couldn’t wear right and i didnt like how it looked. Tried it on hundreds of straps etc as well. Sold it.

Mine came with two 6767-A bits. Always wondered if I was accidentally given two of the same bit, seems strange to have a spare.

My response every time I try on a Tudor. The mm thickness isn't what stops me, the view and feel of the "case thickness", slab side does. The spell of the online pursuit ends with just a few minutes on the wrist😢

The bezel really is a standout, nice colourway. Hope you enjoy your Black Bay, mate.

I had a similar experience, but I wasn't thrilled for sort of the opposite reasons. Mine, I got on the leather strap and honestly I felt like it just didn't "pop". I think if I'd have gotten the bracelet it would have had the wrist presence I was looking for. I considered getting a bracelet, but they're prohibitively expensive. It would be cheaper to buy one on the bracelet and then sell the one I've got. But that takes a load of commitment and what if I still decide It's not ideal. It's a great watch, but I just treat it like a dress watch. Which means it doesn't get worn much. 😢

The bracelets are stupidly priced on the used market. I mean I see why people like the Root Beer and S&G, but they’re just not for me.

Been there iwc le petit prince double chronograph was mine .. got it, hated it in the end and took the loss on it. Bought the hulk sub and never looked back 🐼 good luck

The IWC looks like a stunner, but an absolute tank 😂. Love to have the budget for a Sub.

The quality of photography and video is so high these days, that the watches look better “on KZread” than in real life. I never went to AD’s until recently and left most times feeling underwhelmed.

I think the same thing about the new BB58 GMT colouring. They would have had no complaints if they made that the same colour as the Blue Red larger BB GMT. Hopefully they do a Pelegos GMT eventually.

Hi I'm really surprised you don't like this watch I own the black bay chronograph steel and gold and the wight panda 🐼 love them both.i have very big wrists size at 8 1/2 in and have no problem wearing my jammies Cameron so find the Tudor black bay really comfortable and lightweight and was thinking of buying this watch in the future because i like the way the gold has a retro look because it's brushed not polished like my Rolex.looks good thanks John.

Bloody hell John, by the sounds of it you have a collection and a half 😂👍. I do like the S&G Chronograph, would put it on a NATO, personally. Also the Panda chronograph is a stunner.

Got an S&G. It grew on me so decided to keep it. In rotation with an Explorer for days where I don't feel quite so drug dealer-y.

I personally think this particular watch belongs on the leather strap. Bracelet definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

I have seen the root beer in the metal multiple multiple times, I applaud your taste in looking at the Tudor GMT which bears resemblance and certainly nothing less than equivalence in terms of technicality to the Root Beer, however, as a piece of jewellery it does, because it the interaction with light, brightness, shiny surfaces, etc. However, I truly believe that this piece you obtained is an incredible piece, and you if you strap that onto a good jubilee bracelet, it will (1) accentuate the dial, (2) take the focus away from the tone of gold colour of this bracelet you show here, (3) make it an incredibly elegant, discreet, buy elegant piece that will reflect the gentleman with good taste you are. Must have the gander before selling it on. (No I don't work for anyone in the strap industry, but I LOVE Tudor and love this watch equally. It is just a fine balance between the faux-patina, gild colours, and so much going on the in the case, and toning it down with the bracelet (not up!) while keeping the charm. It will do wonders. If you don't like the Jubilee, keep the bracelet as you will use it elsewhere - for sure- and then sell the watch. Thank you the video, you can thank me later.

I think you guys are criticizing the root beer which is a fantastical watch because you want those who own them to sell them to you or your friends for cheap. I tried one last year in a Rolex shop but couldn't afford it but I felt immediately in love with it 😢
