You have to check every competition's winner: from the domestic league to the domestic cups and UEFA club competitions. There's been a couple vids where in some seasons you finished 6th in the Prem but you didn't get European football the season after.

Liverpool won carabao cup last season checked on Wikipedia and if they finished 8th or lower they would been in Europa conference league look for yourself if they were to win

Cani you should do a realistic rebuild of some team, normally how I do it is I sell a lot of the players that are too good for the team exp: Declan rice is so much better than all the other west ham players so its realistic for them to sell him for money. Also I dont buy players that are unrealistic for the team like brentford probably wouldn’t sign jude bellingham Edit: by buying and selling players in this u can slowly get better and better instead of making a team the best in just 3 years
