Thanks fpr keeping it real. I am actually looking for a 6" x86 Handheld and your review give nice insights on what to avoid. Definitely avoid the Athlon and the WIN600. Curious to see the new Mendocino handhelds from AYN and Ayaneo have to offer. The chip looks nice, but we have yet to see it in a handheld.

I'm super happy with mine! I can play Forza 5 and farcry 6 in everywhere!

I'm glad I saw this review. My nephew was looking into getting it, or wait a little longer for the steam deck.

At the price Anbernic is asking, I completely agree. Really wish they would lower the price by $100-150(USD). Looking forward to what other "Budget Friendly" PC handhelds will offer in the future.

I wonder when Ayn is gonna release ayn Loki mini that unit has AMD mendocino the same hardware used on the steam deck. Except then system is smaller, liter, and thinner.

Wait, analog sticks are supposed to render as circles? I've never in all my years and all my gaming devices on PC seen anything other than a square.

The day someone uses their noggin and creates a handheld with analog triggers but with a lock button like an elite controller to turn them short throw digital for games that don't use analog (i.e. most games that aren't racing games) is the day I will finally say "hoorah"!. I am waiting now for the 7800U but I may, may get a 6800U one with 32gb ram/2TB SSD to have for 2 years or so instead. But I think patience will pay off. The one I regretted not buying is the GPD XP Plus Android handheld, the 256 is no longer available but they ticked a lot as far as Android was concerned. Legit google play, powerful processor, Analog triggers, the issue was in my mind that it had a Mali GPU but emulators work ok with those now, so I regret it. I could actually buy a 256GB for no more than an Odin when it was on Indiegogo, and the GPD is far more powerful and has a much nicer screen for DS/3DS in terms of size for vertical or horizontal play. Oh well. I made a mistake.

You know that's true what you said about the Win600 but that's how Anbernic is..!!! I'm getting this device soon and I like it because it is the most affordable device that does all that it does. It also has Windows 10 installed. Other devices in the Market that function like this Win600 device cost a lot more like in the price range of $700 - $1000 dollars. That's why!! This one is only about $350 -$400

Yea mine has a dead zone in the upper left I can't go diagonal. It was very disappointing. I'm just thankful I bought the cheapest one on sale. Might get a odin or a steam deck

I'm guessing a lot of this could be fixed with an updated BIOS and drivers. If so it could eventually be a good device, but also why release it in this state too?

Anbernic is know for shit software but great case build, this device doesn't even have that going for it. Also I would not be expecting much support for devices from Chinese companies.

Damn technology do evolved from a simple heavy console to a portable laptop/pc as a handheld devices. I can probably imagine we would have another portable PS5 on a calculator.

Mine is S5 single player WIN600 cost me 13 quid black. Is it the same as coming from China

I'd pay 200 for one. But def not 3-4. Might as well get a steam deck at that point

I'm using Onexplayer with Windows 11 but I boot directly into Bigbox. I put my mame roms on the sdcard and use the SSD for Gamecube, PS2 and above. System works great.

Single channel RAM?! What a sad way to throw away all the performance that such a little device already shouldn't lose.

Also why would they run with a Rockchip if the Rockchip is an ARM based?

Thing is you can spend extra 120 dollars and get the Steam Deck. And you have a f*king monster in you hands.

Some people prefer something more compact like a Switch. Fortunately there is a lot of choice in that size and stuff far better than the Win600. The only thing the Win600 has for itself is a cheaper price but if the device is not good then it's not important.

An average device that doesn't excel at anything in particular. Not very impressive. I was considering it but went with the Odin pro instead. I may get a Loki when they come out if I see that it can play recent PC games and do PS3 emulation decently. Otherwise I'm sticking to my Odin.

Isn't that square movement for analog sticks normal for Anbenric devices? Each time I tried the gamepad testers on my 3 Anbernic devices I always got a Square and never thought anything of it.

As much as I love Anbernic products, this one was an instant fail to me when I first saw it. How the heck am I supposed to reach the shoulder buttons with this thing without getting cramped up? For $400 they can't provide analog triggers? This should be a must going forward for all manufacturers. I see videos of people streaming XBOX Game Pass Forza Horizon on devices like this with no control of their gas or brake. They are really missing out. I play Forza Horizon on Game Pass with my Steam Deck and it works beautifully. Give the trigger a slight press? You go slow. Hammer down? Full speed ahead. That's how it should be in racing games. The analog joystick accuracy is a joke. On the new RG505 with the "oh so better" HALL joysticks it does the same thing. You can't do angles such as northeast, southeast, etc. It skips within the corners. Very disappointing. You can't even run PS3 on this $400 device. Steam Deck does PS3 emulation a lot better. I recently got Yuzu up and running on my Steam Deck and it's fantastic. Probably one of the harder systems to emulate. And that part about the device didn't even turn on? Yes. I have experienced bad quality from Anbernic before, but thankfully I bought these devices on Amazon so I was able to get a full refund. I feel bad for the people that bought this device and then try to praise it to make them feel good about their purchase or something. This device is trash. Also? This video DISGUSTED me! So, I left you a like.

It really does suck that you got a lemon (bad batch). Is the stick issue fixable? I did so much research on this device. I’m ok with all the other caveats such as ergonomics, single channel, button “triggers”, heck even the 3020e with upgraded ssd and ram looks good! So much potential! I just hope the sticks work.

The handheld PC I'm interested in is AOKZoe, or oxp 2, steam deck is just a little too weak for me, i want ps3 emulation flawless. This budget device isn't even on my radar

Anbernic plain sucks as a company. Of all the products they have released. Very few of them have gotten a passing grade.

Anbernic makes one of these every other week and they don't even bother to learn from the ones before. TRASH through and through.

wow thats disappointing, this device seems awful. anbernic keeps putting the joysticks at the bottom which makes no since. Are you going to hold the bottom corners so you can have your thumbs on the sticks?

Sadly a little disappointing. Maybe worth around $280. When making the comment that it is especially poor that they sent a defective device to a reviewer, it is rather arrogant considering that as a reviewer you get it for free and yet a user will have paid the full price for it, ergo their pain for a defective unit will be far more significant and relevant than yours.

i hope they dont follow the path of smarthphones that removed the microsd port... M0R0NS.

I am not getting any device that doesn't have a way to expend the memory somehow. I have an Odin pro. I got the 256gb model. Split the memory in 2 partition to have Windows 11 and Android. As soon as you start getting PC games and PS2 roms even 256gb is not enough. I added a 1tb SD card. It's nearly full too. lol

It's a 2 core and 2 thread processor. A very, very overpriced piece of junk that I knew was crap form the moment it was announced. Not trolling, being serious, this is much worse than buying something like an Odin pro if you want it for emulation. RPCS3 needs 8 cores/16 threads to run smoothly. This hasn't got a chance. Just an example. Something like the AYN Loki would be way better with the 6800U and I urge everyone to save till you can get something in AMD 6000 gen with at LEAST 6 cores/12threads or something with the Intel 1260P as an absolute MINIMUM and I mean minimum. It's just not worth getting cheaper devices that can't cut it.. It's always worth saving if you want a serious emulation handheld or spending more if you have the $ now.

No disrespect but the system sucks.... the rg556 & 405M are awesome and cool 😎😎😎.... waste of money for the win600... maybe I'll donate it to the salvation army in the future to save space for the Almighty Ayn Odin 2 system.
