Ugh I feel you- I also work in nursing doing mostly 12s sometimes 16s.. and I did two 12s this weekend as well. Only people who work in nursing understand what that’s like. And we’ve been losing a lot of people and it’s just heavy! Anyway I imagine you must be a much loved nurse and thank you for what you do!

You should look into WithCindy's review of Yellowface! I think it was an interesting add-on to finishing the book and I recommend it any time I see someone read this book because the deep-dive Cindy does is soooooooo interesting.

If you do continue with the Crowns of Nyaxia series, I highly recommend also reading the companion novella, Six Scorched Roses, before The Ashes & The Star-Cursed King! The novella features two characters that appear in the second book, and it actually ended up being my favorite installment in the series!

I’ve seen several people review Bright Young Women and I’ve never heard anyone make the connection (or at least haven’t heard anyone voice it) of the title to the events. When Ted Bundy was convicted the judge called him a “bright young man” which many people found disturbing considering everything that had happened.

Monstrilio sounds heartbreaking and I love a good horror. But currently cannot bring myself to read it after having read Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke by Eric LaRocca. I cannot stomach the parallels I've created in my head regarding the concept of each 😂😂 Would love to one day hear your thoughts on this short story ❤
