I want Haley to do a video on reading classics like Anne of Green Gables, The Secret Garden, Little Women, Little House on the Prarie etc. I grew up with these books and im re reading them as an adult and it gives me a different perspective on life. I really think she would enjoy them.

So it's interesting. I read them all as an adult within the last 2 years. I loved Anne and The Secret Garden, but absolutely despised Little Women. I don't think I can read LHotP because of how it depicts people of color.

That woud be really cool ! She could also expand to classics from other countries !
VIDEO IDEA: Haley recommends thrillers that are fun & exciting but are NOT super dark. When I ask for recommendations, I get cozy mysteries. I don’t want a cozy mystery, I want something thrilling. Haley is proof that fun thrillers exist!

Maybe YA? I know some of that is still dark, like you'd probably want to avoid The Cheerleaders, but it might be easier to find something. Plus, they're usually pretty fast reads.

Idk if that’s what you’re searching for, but I read The Guest list by Lucy Foley this year and omg it was amazing!!! Thriller, mystery, but not too graphic imo. Been searching for a book exactly like that since then!

I am so impressed that you read 90 books and can remember how you feel about each one and what they’re all about. I’ve read 40 this year and I swear I can’t remember the plot of half of them 😂

She probably writes notes during and after reading. that's what I do
I think we can all agree that it has been so fun to see Haley go from just reading and loving romcoms to reading and loving all genres.
For Cassandra Clare, I’d recommend reading the first three books in The Mortal Instruments series, then read The Infernal Devices, and then finish the Mortal Instruments. You do need to finish TID before the last books of TMI because you’ll be spoiled.
@Mangoo973

Lol its gonna be hard to push through the first three books of the TMI series but its just to understand the world so that its easier to read TID which is an amazing series

My dad and I are big readers, and he shared your channel with me. Now I'm reading even more and have a reading journal for next year! This past year, my most surprising read, in a good way, was The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton. So good. The ending had me crying and just feeling all the emotions.
It's 12 am right now but a 30 min video from Haley is literally a treat I can't ignore
i read the best books in january tooo! it’s like i get all of these amazing books for christmas as well as recommendations from 50+ videos and it just makes such a good reading month
2023 has been the year that I really got back into reading and a lot of that has to do with your videos Haley!! I found your channel and it got me in the mood to read more so thank you so much Haley for posting these fun videos that encourage me to read everyday ❤

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!! You spoil us with great book recs 🙂❤️📖
You have always been a prime example of when I tell people that their existence matters more than they will ever know. Watching this video really just had me sitting here thinking, How crazy is it that if you never existed you would never be here to share the books you read and you would never exist to inspire people the way that you do. I truly appreciate your existence so so much Haley. I've followed you since your hair removal days 😂, but watching you grow and fall in love with so much and fall in love with life has inspired me so much and I am so grateful for that. So glad you're here
as someone who likes to know as little as possible when going into a book, i love your style of reviewing. thx for the recs xx
Hi Haley, i just wanted to say that after watching your videos i became motivated to read again. So the first book i got was the seven year slip and it was awesome !! Thanks so so much!
i love how diverse your taste is! For example, romance is not always my thing, but I always know that the fantasy books you recommend I will LOVE
I don't really read that much, but you inspire me to read. Due to you I pledged to read as many books as I can this year. And I read 22 books this year. Thank you a lot. I hope that you have an awesome 2024.
I love these videos! It helps me get an idea of what I want to read in 2024!
these videos are so wonderful and creative! i always look forward to when haley posts❤️
my favorite videos of the year! now i have a full tbr to keep me busy all 2024!!
i love you so haley! you’re so amazing and got me back into reading, my fav booktuber!! 💗
It feels like you have read a quite amount of good books this year. Thank you so much for such great content ❤
We have been BLESSED with a 30 minute video ❤
Haley making my day by posting 🥰🥰
I somehow read 200 books this year. My favorite by far was Freniemies with Benefits by Lydia Sharp. I was laughing out loud, giggling and going through all the emotions. It was a good little romcom that I personally loved. Glad I found Haley’s channel this year. Helped me when I hit a few reading slumps 😊

Yoooo, just a thank you. I read about 60 books in the past 18 months, but none have been more awesome than the Red Rising Trilogy! NEVER would've read it if you hadn't recommended it so fervently. I just finished the first three, and picked up book 4 (Iron Gold) today because I couldn't wait for Amazon. Thanks for expanding my horizons! :)
i love seeing haley leave her book genre comfort zone!! i also absolutely recommend project hail mary by andy weir!! it’s such an amazing book

I miss your content so much, really glad that I’m getting back into it!! 😁 🥰
I love your voice 🥹 love watching you Hailey and I’m so happy this is a 30 minute video. I could listen to you all day ❤
I have been waiting for this! Always my favourite videos!❤
Most anticipated video of the year love your vids 🎉❤
It’s been a blessing having discovered your channel this year💙! I’ve binged watched so many of your videos and have been on a reading spree right before the New year😅. The book I’ve read that surprised me the most this year was “The Lake” by Natasha Preston. It’s a YA suspense/thriller and the plot twist at the end was so good and unexpected that I still talk about it to this day. I read the book back in June and I still can’t stop thinking about the ending😅.
Your videos are so cozy! I don’t really read too much, but just enjoy watching your vids and hearing your thoughts. Glad you tried Mistborn! Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author. I can see how some chapters can be a slog to get through because they can be slow at times until you reach the 2/3 mark and then you can’t put the book down. I highly recommend Starsight, which is one that you can fly through and don’t want to put down!
Thank you!!!! As someone who reads about 30 books a year, these overviews are so important so I consistently pick 4/5 star books!
The last book in the Infernal Devices series made me happy cry so hard😭 one of my favorite book endings
THANK YOU FOR BLESSING US WITH THIS BOOK VIDEOS KWEEN HALEY 🙏
ahh haley thank you for blessing me with this thirty minute video
Dude I was just watching all your vids over and over then I look and you post A 30MIN VIDEO AHHH I AM SOOO HAPPYYY
OMGGGG THE VIDEO WE’VE WAITED ALL YEAR FOR
I was watching haley's videos a couple hours ago and I come to see a 30 min video posted, Haley ur literally such a queen, I love watching ur videos so much
Keep going with the infernal devices the 3rd is amazing !😊 My most surprising book for the year would have to be None of this is true by Lisa Jewel. It was my first thriller and I was very skeptical I was even going to like that genre, I picked up from your recommendation and I loved it and still constantly think about !
Loved this video! End of year wrap ups are so fun 😊
Idea for a video: she has us write a bunch of prompts for book recs, ex. A book that is fun but thrilling. Then she recommends a book for the prompt
I love your channel, your videos are the reason why I got back into reading so thank you so much ❤
you got me back into reading and u are so stunning 🤍 luv u girl
Thankyou for this you have completely inspired me to get back into reading and make time for it - I love how you can tell that you get invested in books and I really trust your ratings xox
Love this! Thank you for all your hard work! I think a lot of us would love to see you do cottage core classics like little women and Anne of green gables! ❤❤
luved every bit of the 29 minutes!💕Thank You Haley!!
First! I Love your videos and I wish I could be you one day. You inspired me to become a book girly . You’re my favorite book tuber and on Christmas I got the entire naturals series just because you liked it and it sounded like a good series.
So excited, just filmed my 2023 wrap up yesterday and should be uploading it tomorrow!
This video is like a reward ✨ ty Haley!

You are my inspiration for reading more books ❤📚🎉
The Infernal Devices is my favorite series of all time, I think it comes with falling in love with the characters so if you didn’t love them in Clockwork Angel you wouldn’t love the rest.
"fun silly haha time" is my new favorite expression. ever. addicted to saying this now.
My all time favorite book series is the Storm and Silence series by Rob Thier. Literally never heard anyone recommend it but its SOOOO GOOD. Its a romance set in 19th-century London, kinda enemies to lovers but also suupperrrr comedic. Theres an action/adventure subplot that I think makes the book even better. I genuinely would recommend everyone to look into this book more and give it a shot, I feel like its super underrated.

Best time of the year, Im already building next year's TBR. All your videos are so funny and entertaining .
I would LOVE if you made “deep dive” videos where you discuss the books you read with plot and spoilers/your opinions about it!!
Ahhhh a long video tyyyy Haley I hope you had a lovely Christmas🩷
I love these videos!! After the books fell all I could think of was “Snow lands on top!”
waited for this for so long ❤️😍
For a whimsical fairy tale like book I would recommend the night circus. It’s an enemies to lovers story about a circus that serves as the playing field for 2 rival magicians who don’t know what they’re competing for and end up falling in love. It also has AMAZING BEAUTIFUL vibes

Haley you need to read the shatter me series if you haven’t already. I broke my leg and read the first book after surgery in the hospital the other day! So good!
I absolutely LOVE this video! I added at least 8 books to my tbr, you have been my go to person for book recommendations for a while and every time you recommend something 4 ⭐️ or above I always love the book. Although if you do want recommendations for thriller books one of my all time favorites is lock the doors by Vincent Ralph and 14 ways to die a close second by Vincent Ralph as well. Keep reading and growing your knowledge!!
IM SO EARLY AND SO HAPPY NOW. THIS LONG OF A VIDEO!! ITS GONNA BE GOOOD
OMG The way you described some of the dialogue and other parts 🌶️ of The Fourth Wing is exactly how I felt! My gutteral laugh I made my poor sleeping cat leap from the couch and stare at me. 🤣

I feel like Haley would like the red queen series. Also the testing is one of my favorites
I’m so glad that you love thrillers now. Some recs for u: The night shift, what lies in the woods, and the senators wife.
haleys content is so much fun to watch
LOVE THESE VIDEOS AHHH
ive read 132 books this year bcs haleys videos always make me want to read
If you still want to try Cassandra Clare, I recommend starting with "Chain of Gold" (The Last Hours). This is the first one I finished of her books; it was page-turning and I wasn't confused at all.
I love watching her channel. It makes my day when she posts more content
First comment! I love your videos haley!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ You inspire me to read all the time and it started as soon as you posted your first book video!
Hii Haley, I love when you post :)
Omg I read The grace year when it came out and loved it and recomended it to so many people. But I have never seen someone who has read it outside of that so it is so cool to see that you read it and liking it!
I was listening to you explaining why you love the world of Elfhame and I would recommend The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black if you haven't heard of it! It's a standalone that is set in the same world, and (not a spoiler I hope) some characters does make an appearance in the cruel prince series (which I was happily surprised by when I read the cruel prince trilogy). I personally love this book!
You should read Iron Flame!! I had the same thoughts as you on Fourth Wing, thought it was soooo overhyped and lacked so many things, but I was surprised to really like Iron Flame 🤭 The 2 books feel different, Iron Flame is less about action and more about the plot, has a lot more politics, foreshadowing, character development, and feels more like a fantasy book and less like a romantasy one. Also the dialogues weren't as cringey!
@CHiCguitar

Everyone keeps saying this. I need to read Fourth Wing so I can get to Iron Flame because political intrigue is MY FAVORITE. I'm reading the Arc of a Scythe trilogy rn and while it's dystopian/utopian (complicated!!!) it's all about politics. So my jam
@clemencenan
5 ай бұрын
@@CHiCguitar I feel like Fourth Wing was written as a ‘booktok’ book, with all the elements RY knew were going to work for the majority of readers (but for high fantasy readers it was disappointing), while Iron Flame is probably where she started really developing the world and the ideas she had in mind. I’m not saying it’s the best fantasy book, but compared to how lacking Fourth Wing was imo, I almost thought Iron Flame was great 😂 But you need to get through Fourth Wing (it’s a fun ride, just not a great one)
I was honestly surprised I got so into the Shady Hollow Series, I'm hooked and hoping they will come out with another one. I actually enjoed the The secret society of witches book you talked about
YAYYY I’m so excited to watch this!!! ❤
These Twisted Bonds and The Nightingale surprised me with being a couple of my favorite books of the year🤩
Haley PLEASE READ Iron Flame. People hate it because of how the author throws something at you at the end not because it’s a bad book 😂 also the Housemaid + the sequel were my favorites all year! Can’t wait for the third

I had a few surprising reads this year. Pleasant surprises: Together We Burn- Isabel Ibañez (I heard “a book about dragon fighting” and had pretty low expectations since that’s just not really something I thought I was into, but I ended up actually really enjoying this book and still find myself thinking about it months later.) Carrie Soto Is Back- Taylor Jenkins Reid (I’ve never watched tennis, never played tennis other than Wii Sports and a GameCube Mario Tennis game, can name a total of *maybe* 3 pro tennis players (and 2 of them are Venus and Serena ), just didn’t think I cared about tennis at all, but I LOVED this book. Lowkey made me wanna start watching tennis.) Not so pleasant surprise: Today Will Be Different- Maria Semple (there’s nothing *wrong* with this book, but since Where’d You Go, Bernadette? is one of my all time favorite books, I had super high expectations for this one since it’s from the same author and it just kinda fell flat for me. That probably has more to do with my own expectations than the book itself, though, I was just surprised and disappointed that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected.) Was overall a really good reading year for me (quantity and quality, my goal was 60 and I’ve read 108 (and may be able to finish at least a couple more before the new year)) going back through my GoodReads to answer this question really made me realize how many I thoroughly enjoyed this year 🙂 And also added a few of these to my TBR for next year
merry christmas and happy new year haley !! youre videos always make my day
i’ve fallen in love with haley it’s 2 am and i can’t stop binging her videos help 😭😭
