The “I filmed myself reading books” was iconic lol so relatable

100% agree on "if he had been with me"!! it was boring and the characters were SO annoying. the whole book felt very juvenile and melodramatic to me :(

I read today tonight tomorrow a few years ago when my mom practically thrust it into my face and had me read it cause I’d like it and it’s what got me into reading. I rated it 5 stars then but as I’ve read more it technically should go down to like 4 stars because now I’ve liked books way more than I liked that one, but it also stays at 5 stars cause it has carved a special place in my heart for getting me into reading if that makes any sense

I was one of those people who liked If He Had Been With Me but I totally understand why some people hate it

I was on the fence about reading If He Had Been With Me because of the plot but now I'm definitely not going to read it. Also, was it hard for you to get through Heart of the Raven Prince or did you enjoy it pretty well?

the first 30 pages were hard for heart of the raven prince, but i ended up enjoying it!

I throw books that frustrate me across the room too

If he had been with me was a big fat DNF for me. It was too little kiddie for me

I thought the story of if he had been with me was fine;when I read it I just needed something to read, yk? But good lord the writing was painful to read at times, just soo bad & the main character had the biggest main character syndrome, and overall the whole book just felt like it was written by a 13 year old?
