I quit...

Week 4.
When we chase the illusion of perfection,
we begin to hide the parts of ourselves
that don't fit the brief.
Vaping has been one of those things that
I've been afraid to expose.
So of course, I'm exposing it.
As vulnerable as I feel,
there is value in showing myself that
hard things can be done, as opposed to
avoiding them altogether.
The things we keep in the dark
are what we slowly succumb to,
and being honest about them
brings those things to light.
We weren't made to be perfect.
We were made to persevere.

This. Being so open. Vulnerable and real. Being more than just a "character" or figure online. You are so brave, lady!

I ended up at Bankstown hospital emergency in June for vaping cause I couldn’t breathe. I’ve since been diagnosed with COPD (lung disease) as a result of vaping toxic chemicals. Please stop NOW!!. Think of your kids like I have.

Dearest Sonia, i've saw many of Jayesslee videos in the past when i was a lot younger. stopped inbetween but happened to see this video pop up and clicked just because it might be you as i had a wee bit of crush on you back then too hehe. just want to say thank you for being so raw, so honest, so vulnerable. i'm also trying to find myself at the perfect age of 30 as well, did the work since 3 years ago, doing well but just hit a wall. was feeling down for quite some time but started to get some capacity back today and your freshly written song made my eyes wet, please do a full version! also, i love that you leave some "awkward" (not generally footage friendly?) parts in the video like it's still quite obvious talking to the camera and answering these well asked questions are not the most easy things to do but that's making me feel very connected to you as a flawed homo sapien myself. i love how in ep 1 you mentioned vices and this came up. wishing you the very very best in kicking away all the vices that you no longer want to rely on to function properly. let's keep keeping on in finding ourselves :)

Thank you for being so brave, not just to try your best to change yourself, but also doing this in front of many eyes. To change ourselves from being a sheep is not an easy path, but doing this vulnerably is bravery itself. And I can feel how you feel when you share your mental struggles, especially experiencing all this in front of the lives of our kids. Supporting you in your journey, and cant wait to listen to the song you made in this video, loved it already 😍 Much love from Indonesia ❤️

Not sure if you've heard of this book, Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr. I have seen many chain smokers stop after reading this book. He puts alot of things into perspective. Maybe give it a try if you haven't read it before!!! We are here to support you ❤ never give up!

You can do it ! I smoked cigarettes for around 8 years and vaped for around 4 and one day I was like nah that’s it I’m not doing it anymore and haven’t touched it since and don’t crave it at all. Once I quit my anxiety went down, shortness of breath and feel much healthier
