You are very fortunate to have found out that you have a different calling. Being a flight attendant for over 40 years I can tell you there are a lot of unhappy people out there doing this job that regret staying for so long. But they became trapped. And then time marched on, they got older and turned out very unhappy . Good luck

This is true! I love being a flight attendant and I don’t understand people who don’t. This is not merely a job to pay the bills. It’s truly a lifestyle. Me, I love it, I get to go places. I love staying in hotels, i love being on a plane all day. It’s my life. People that decide to become flight attendants need to realize: this is not your typical 9-5 job where you get paid 40 hours a week bi weekly, and you get to go home every night. It’s not. You absolutely do have to be almost perfect in this job. It truly is not for everyone. Wish more people would come to terms with that. And it’s okay if it’s not for you. It really is. There are so many other things you can do out there.

Reserve life is hard. There were many times where I wanted to as well but I stuck through it and now I am a lineholder. Been a line holder for about 5 years and I’m loving the flexibility. On reserve you are at the companies mercy. You have barely no flexibility at all. I can see why it got down on you so hard. I wish you would of stuck it out and stayed. I promise you when you become a line holder that’s when your career truly begins. Good luck with your KZread career. I hope it pans out for you the way you want. ♥️

I've been flying since 1998. I'm so sorry United didn't work out. You seemed so happy to be going there. Do you regret leaving the regional? Do you think you should've stayed? I think there are a lot of people that want to go mainline and then realize it isn't all that great. You definitely have a lot of alone time. If you are the type of person that has to be constantly doing something, this job will be very hard for you. It can be very isolating. You spend a lot of your time in Hotels. I'm very, very happy at my airline. We don't have layovers. You're home every night so there is more of a balance. Don't you feel like you spent so much time and energy in training? So how long were you there? 🤔 Well, time to move on. It happens. I've actually walked out on some regionals. They don't give a shit about their Flight Attendants so at one of them I was working a 5 leg day and after the first round trip we had a little sit and I walked past the gate that my hometown flight was leaving, so I hopped on that and just flew home. Sent my stuff to the manager was like, "Peace out! ✌🏻 " One regional had a Director of Flight Attendants who was an ugly, short little troll man. He had a horrible attitude and called my house and yelled at me. Well, he chose the wrong person to yell at. I yelled back at him and he threatened me and I threatened him. Then I hung up on him. Then I wrote a letter to every department head at the airline. Then called his ass the next day and said to him, "I hope your ass fits into my dress because I quit. You can fly my schedule." Click! Sent him my dress in a box to his office! 🖕🏻 A-Hole. Anyways, you'll be okay. You'll bounce back, kid. Have hope. I guess I'll be watching your channel grow. Don't do stuff where you can get hurt. 🤪😜

This is my fear. I work for a similar airline to yours but not quite. We do get layovers, I’ve just chosen to do turns on my line in the last year bc I got pregnant and had my baby recently. I love the job, i love what I do, and I do NOT stay in my hotel. I go explore y’all. I want to do that on a larger scale, and I want to be compensated for my language fluencies, as my current airline doesn’t pay for that. But my fear is leaving my current airline and hating the legacy I go to. I am kind of done with my current airline. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. The only really great thing about my current airline is that I live in base. I’d have to commute with United. Idk 🤷♀️ choices!

I once had a great interest in becoming a flight attendant, when i finally was working, it was a toxic environment, lots of petty drama, back stabbing, gossip, and other employees trying to get ppl fired for petty reasons. It soured my enthusiasm excitement and i didnt like having to defend myself from these other employees all the time, they would find reasons to cause problems, leaderships were bad unfair and deplorable. Favorites and clicks with attitudes. Im glad i got out of that. But most off all i think the pilots and passengers gave me good compliments for my professionalism and customer service. The airlines always have the wrong toxic people on charge. Glad to be gone and not ever going back.

Thank you for sharing you recent moments. I am sorry to hear that you left from being a Flight Attendant. And if you from regional over to mainline, that is always nice. But I feel sorry fir you about the career in the airline industry. I do hope that your new job will bring you comfort and money that will give you career relief. Yes, the Flight Attendant life is sometimes ypu are alone on a layover and at home!! And yes, the Leader or Purser of the crew team is to give consideration and call you to have you to come down and be with the crew. And also other crew members will give consideration to call you as well. In may years of flying, I knew that I was alone and by myself. I did not have a problem with that because I did want to travel. Seeing the different cities and countries in the world whole learning in college was nice but I wanted to go to Europe, Asia and South America. So, for me working as initial Flight Attendant and going to addition training to be promoted to Purser position was rewarding for me. I started flying two years before the sad situation of 9/11. Those months after that incident I was scared but I got through that while flying to London, UK and Paris, France the places that I love. Plus, I have family and friends in Europe in general. Well, again, I hope that your experience traveling has given you more of an understanding of culture and life. Please continue to take care of yourself before your family and friends!!! Because people look up to you. So, when you are able to earn a paycheck and feed yourself first then you can help family and friends second and third position to you first!!!!

@@EnnisGomez I hear you and I sympathy with you. Yes, I did not get to change my bases when after graduating from F/A Training here in Chicago. I was fortunate on getting the base selection here and I was so glad!! We had. At that time of graduation, New York and Washington DC. Well, New York was ok to have commuting and O have my Father who lives there. So that would been fine for a short while. But Washington DC, no!!! Having to go to three airports no! And I was so glad I dif not get that base selection. Yes, Chicago was my base and I already had my apartment here living on my own for years after college.
@LMays-cu2hp

Furthermore, I would always be hearing how commuting to your base selection was hard for many people. When I was flying with other F/As and I found out they commuted then I would always ask him do they do it. And pilots as well commute to their base selection!!! Many people have their lives established where they live. So, you or they want the job then you have to make some sacrifices to dealing with this industry. I have even heard of those senior ramp men and women who are based in Los Angeles but live in Hawaii. So, they have found friends gotten an apartment together fir the week days and fly home on their days of. The saving grace is that we, in the industry are to fly on Stand-By but at a small charge!!!!! Flight Benefits are the most satisfying item in the employment package. I would just use the benefits for vacation only. I did wanted to give my Mother my flights passes but she loves taking the Antrak Train to have those Sleeper Furst Class Cabins. And my Father was already a 1 Hundred K plus or Elite Member on American. He did not want to just fly on Stand By!!! An insult to him!!!

Finally, but anyway, good luck to you. And you know you can get a ground airport job with a lot of airlines. So, you don't always have to fly to have an airline job.

This job was made for someone like me. But ngl it’s a lifestyle. People need to understand that when they take this job. It’s not a regular 9-5 job where you do your job and you come home. I respect you a lot for deciding it now rather than later.

You could apply to Gate Agents or Customer Service Agenrs that is still cool. I take it you speak another language so, be on the Ground. The Ramp Jobs are hard but it is still a job with flight benefits to have!! Well, those are my thoughts. You be safe again, take care of yourself first!!!
Hi Ennis sorry to hear about your job .I am still thinking of doing a flight attendant position but its the hours and rota that's all over the place and your body clock mst get shattered. Still these things happen for a reason . At least your honest .I hope the next job is a better one for you.

Hey Ennis … I think I’ve been watching you since day 1 … you’re an ok guy and I won’t miss anything you do in the future! You’re honest and forthright…I wish more young people were like you! I’m 70 and see lots of wasted young people throw their lives away. You need to do what finally makes you happy and turns a buck! You’ll find it! You’re talented and driven to do what you want to do. People switch jobs all the time. I give those people lotsa credit. In my generation we didn’t do that. We died in our jobs! Don’t do that to yourself, ever! You’re cool dude! Hey, you should ask your viewers what they might enjoy seeing you cover! Take care Ennis! I’ll be watching you! 👀

I was interested in your flight attendant journey hoping you would spend mottle time at it, and travel internationally before going on a different path. It may not be for you, or maybe you fell into a rut, got complacent as you say. Wish you the best on whatever path life leads you on. Hold on tight though. Most jobs have some downsides.

You’re right most jobs have some downsides, I gotta find the one where I will be comfortable with the downsides
You mentioned some pros and cons of Regional vs. Mainline-like being the only flight attendant. I would think there would be more a feeling of added responsibility seeing as you're the only one. Your comments? All the best on your new channel. David
Awesome ! Raw. 😊
But I’m so happy that you know your calling and you can focus on that
You have a great personality and you’re young and learning. Take your time away from aviation then come on over to Delta! We’re hiring like crazy and you will be a great addition to the family. We don’t do the straight reserve life and you can always build your schedule how you want. Best wishes to you.

I wanted to be a flight attendant but after researching on YT you got to be on edge for a full yr with passing interviews training and then being on probation. i get it life not easy but it crazy to me.
You’re not missing anything, complicated job. Did it for years. Made all the same hiccups but after probation. You might have a lil ADD . & slight melancholy not depression. You just need a mustache & a boyfried. Very well spoken snd intelligent Good Luck man.✌️
Hi Ennis, Thank you for sharing this video, I hope your life, your career will get better and better. I’m always late for school, am I suitable to be a flight attendant in the future?😅 I want to change this habit for being late, but it’s too hard for me. Do you have any advice for me?
Being a FA isn’t for everyone. It’s really not a job but a lifestyle. I see so many ppl quit day in and day out bc they’re not passionate about it. Hope you find your purpose. ❤
Honestly I agree with you I’m 4 months in and I’m very unhappy . I commute and I’m finding myself crying a lot and my paycheck isn’t where it needs to be . I’m at peace leaving this company and honestly it’s not for everybody . It definitely is not what I thought it was .
maybe missing those shifts was your canon event and in the future your youtube career will really take off 😊

@@sergio2bfierce any airline recruiter hiring him should be fired. He doesn’t like being away from home and being alone in a room in boring middle America generic airport hotels. Multiple times he didn’t show up on time, putting the airline operation at risk of cancellation, delays and paying thousands of dollars in compensation to passengers. This job is not for him and that’s perfectly fine. It’s a service job that requires absolute punctuality and being comfortable being alone away from home.
Take a shot every time he says “not fully there” 😂

Sorry it didn't work out. Being a flight attendant requires promptness, etc. at all times - especially on probation. It just didn't sound as if you really cared about the job. No worries. Just move one and good luck.
I have a question, how long were you a flight attendant with the regional airline? Could it be that you were happier with the regional airline versus mainline ?

@@EnnisGomez I see, possibly the change, the grueling training and than being on reserve burned you out, I can see how that life style can make you feel no control over your life, no freedom. I know it’s tuff right now, but please 🙏 don’t beat yourself up, greater and better things are ahead for you, your going to be ok 👌, everything is going to be ok in your life
You can still get another FA job even if you have been terminated from another airline! But anyways, keep your head up and find something that makes you happy.
Hi,didn’t you know all that information before joining?FA job in the US is very lonely. You are never home. Most must commute ,too much hassle to maintain that job.I would do it only if my base was my home.
Do you wish you stayed at your regional Airline or you have no regrets going mainline?
I’m a very spiritual person and I believe that the universe will start to send you signs when you’re not in the right place for your souls purpose. But if you don’t pick up on those signs the universe will take matters into it’s own hands. And it completely sounds like you got the nudge that you needed. I believe in the law of attraction and manifestation and you’ll be tested over the next little while; to see if you “deserve” something you really want / are going after. Keep fighting and don’t give up! Remember, when you hit rock bottom - the only way you can go is up! Good luck brother, I’m still here with you cheering you on 😊
Maybe the mistake was leaving regional… The grass isn’t always greener on the other side
First im sorry Second it gets better Third I still think you are a FA at heart Next time you just have to live in BASE especially during probation, i simply couldnt imagine going through probation and commuting, its a second/thrid job and just exhausting It does get a lot better post probation I just think united wasnt a good fit I would get a job waiting tables and hustle, you are a great people person And reapply in 6 months but do your research and know where you want to move Keep your head up, it gets better, whats your cash app
