Also I trust Pixie to make a good video that also isn't about scare tactics but that is really realistic about what's happening when these clothes are bought. Because scare tactics don't really work long term but, at least for me, statistics and stories of real workers and carbon footprint are what really work rhetorically

i dont think anybody expects you to be fully eco-friendly. i mean even looking your anime and magical girl collections, you've really presented yourself online as a material girl. the problem isnt really about whether youre buying your collections second hand or not, it's your compulsion of buying so many little objects and needing to break down why you feel like you need them in your life. just the other day i was rewatching your old japan hauls and i was so taken aback by all the tiny little things you bought. you've really come so far since then. gotta give yourself some grace, those kinds of mindsets are really hard to shake, especially when youre so young

This has been one of the trickiest things in my experience. My general rule of thumb is that if they don’t have any info available and you can’t find any statements about how they manufacture, I avoid. I really love Nile Perch and Spank! because they make lots of adorable hand made clothes that are also available online :) WC and Spinns also have “used” like upcycled, vintagey things that they then alter and add stuff to but they also carry lots of questionably manufactured clothes so it is up to what you are comfy with 💗

Oh? Dollskill is good and supportive of all communities? This is news to me. Is that why they fired a girl when they found out she was a sex worker? Or when they denied promised PR to a girl when they found out she was disabled and in a full time wheelchair? Or when they stole countless amount of independent artists work? Dollskill is not a good brand. They treat customers like shit, and the woman that owns the company has been horribly abusive to anyone that disagrees with her.

Hi Pixie, Do you watch Rachel Maksy? Between you and her you two are my favorite two fashion tubers. She does almost exclusively thrift or send made clothes. Good on you for trying to be a better human. I love your style and videos. I probably wouldn't be able to pull off your style but your videos make me so happy. Keep being you. 💜 you're wonderful.

YES!!!!! This made me so happy. I see so many people making green changes in their lives and it is partially thanks to influencers who have changed their own habits. Whether we realize it or not the media we consume changes our brains and influences us in a bigger way than ever before. The small and big changes you make, help other people to make changes in their own lives.

You earned a new subscriber. Change what you can and not what you "should". As time goes by you see what else you can do. Nobody's perfect! Nobody has to defend themselve for not being perfect. Just be calm and keep on learning.
