Hard to get a true perspective on size but that looked like a whole lot of kite in a really small bag. And far easier to fly than the kites I grew up with; which involved a whole lot of running resulting in a whole lot of nothing except tangled string. Thanks for sharing how it is done. I was truly curious. 😺

This one's about 20' wide. And we either stake them down or tie them to vehicles. There's wind coming off the ocean so that lifts them so the only running we have to do is if a kite gets loose lol.

What pound test is the line? What material is the line made of ? How long is the Line or how high do you fly? Is there a group is Washington that could help me get in flying these larger kites? Thanks Darby

@@darbyhandley328 it's a 1200lb line amsteel line. Typically fly 150 ish feet up and how far up or out depends on the wind. There are many kite clubs and associations, you can find them through Google or the AKA (American Kite Association)
