A word of advise, let almost everything you tried run for an additional 24 hours and you'll get different results. I'm surprised your skittles came out crunchy after only 8 hours.

Banana chips is WAYYY different in taste! Banana chips is fried in oil with added sugar and it does not taste the same.

You need to freeze dry them longer. Normally at least 24hrs or so. The reason why those worm's, bears and sour patch kids were so chewy were because they still had moisture in them. Most gummies when freeze dried are crispy and airy texture almost like a Cheeto.

Hey Tyler! You should try letting the freeze dryer go 2 or even 3 cycles to get for example, the gummy worms to be completely fluffy

Yeah a little research on freeze dryer operation would have helped big time. 7-8 hrs isn’t enough for candy. Candy really needs to be done once a regular cycle has been done and then put the candy in and run for extra dry time

I see tons of uses for freeze dried pickles, especially as freeze dried pickle powder. The crouton idea is amazing. My personal intuition would be to bake bread with some delicious seeds and some nice little pickle pieces.

Krispy Cream doughnuts. Freeze dried potato slices with BBQ sauce on them or just salt and vinegar. You know we need freeze dried bacon. Anyway, keep up the great work man, love the content!

You should try freeze dried jolly ranchers, bit o honey, salt water taffy, and big hunk pieces. With all of them you need to cut them into smaller pieces as they puff up a LOT!

freeze dried strawberries are common "astronaut" foods. I have tried them quite a few times over the years. My favorite are the ice cream sandwiches. they are fun.

You didn't leave the gummy worms, sour patch kids, or gummy bears in long enough. They take about 24-48 hours. Almost all candy takes over 24 hours.
