Gotta love this time of the year for inshore fishing

Have you ever fished on St George island In Florida? We rented a house and will be down there next weekend. This will be our first time venturing away from Destin and fishing the Okaloosa pier!

Wouldn't the crabs be great bait? With so many around there must be fish there to eat them.

Sept-Nov is my favorite time to surf fish up here. The mullet run has already showed signs of its arrival!

Whole blue crab 5” plus is a great ticket year around on big reds and big black drum here in Texas. It keeps most crabs off and baitfish can’t destroy the bait usually. Those big reds are eating anything and everything down in Texas this time of year doesn’t matter if it’s live or dead baits.

When I watch these vids it reminds me of how bad the fishing is in my local waters in the northeast.

Since returning to central Florida I have been trying to get a chance to go to the gulf for some fishing. Finally. Next week for 10 days in Ft Myers and a chance to actually target specific species of fish which I have never done before. I know at 58 I'm getting a late start. But for months now after finding you guys I have been in class with what I feel are some pretty good instructors. So off to take finals and put what I've learned to practice. I'll let you know how it goes. Another cool video by the way.

Surf fishing is always a blast

Thanks for doing a midday trip. I’m down from Atlanta about once a month to Pensacola area for work. I’m only able to fish in the evenings and sometimes on Friday around noon. I’ve had some pretty good luck. Caught some big reds in December right there on the beach at noon.

Those were some true bay monsters! So much fun to watch you catch em. BTW, I looked up speckled crabs and they're supposed to be delicious, so we'd love to see a catch n cook sometime soon!

Absolutely love fishing the fall bite, weather is cooler and it far more enjoyable . Those were some beautiful fish.
