I work on the C130s that have skis on them. They use JATO to take off from air fields with snow in order to get passed the friction and get airborne. They aren't made anymore, so there's a limited amount left, therefore they are not used much anymore

just youtube, c130 jet assisted landing, they tried, failed, and caused a lot of damage to airframes.

Thanks for the tip on Helgoland, that's another fun looking place to try and fly out of! Also there's a "Swiss" livery for the Concorde now, I'd love to see you try it.

The secondary benefit of the c130 position is it contributes to the pitching up on takeoff - having them positioned at the apu would negate this and add a slight opposite effect

i guess the safety zones(the ones with a X on them) are 50m each. so 50x2=100m 400m(total length of the runway) -- 100m= 300m Sorry for solving a whole math problem here😅😅
