Pianos were invented from a maker intending to make a Harpsicord more reactive. It would be interesting if you could engineer a guitar pick hammer that gives the sound of a Harpsicord maybe? @@Mattiaskrantz I think you could also get an engineer to come up with a few methods to decrease the strain on the keys and maybe increase the speed. This one sounds genuinely good especially after the tuning. Plus you could make another video with the classical pianist playing it as a before and after comparison.
One thing I'd love to point out is that the technician when playing the piano is indeed playing it like a harpsichord (play to the keys, harpsichord has hand close to keys whereas piano is away from the keys). Just reinforcing the technicians earlier statement of how it felt like a harpsichord
The final look in his eyes at the end of the video was like "Don't you think that he was a good choice?, Isn't he the cutest piano tuner ever....?" LOL, I wanna ship you guys. I'm really in love with that piano tech ;D
I love how the technician fell in love with it.

Yeah hahaha
The tech is pleasantly surprised this time around, it’s endearing
seeing your channel grow makes me really happy, you work so exremely hard to do these crazy things! XD You deserve it man!
Those low tones got me with headphones. I'd love to hear something dark/ominous performed on the hammer piano.

Next project : reverse the string arrangements. Bass to the right, treble to the left. 🤣🤣🤣

Thar would be cool. Though I wonder how he'd reverse the harp... I guess he could do it in a vertical piano though... Could be possible

It’s amazing how you put so much effort in your videos
I really like the piano technician! And you can see that he takes his work seriously - even wears hearing protection. Very good!

I kinda love how the literal hammer piano sounds honestly
I know it was for the memes but that sounds really cool
Piano but the hammers are replaced with tuning forks?

Because he's an engineer.
I had to watch this video after seeing the one with the professionals and I'm so happy my harpsichord comparison wasn't misguided. This was so fun! I do feel bad that you cut off a few of his answers. Now I have to go find the guitar string and fishing wire videos! Also, thank you for having the professional integrity to not advertise a video you didn't believe in.
The tech was very gracious. I wonder what he really thought at the time. His first reaction seemed like "Oh dear, another prank!" but his curiosity got the best of him.
Me: "How did he guess it had bass strings?" Video 1 minute later: Shot of the giant Davie504 on the wall, holding a bass with a bass shirt right next to it
Piano tuner guy is a really good sport, I'm glad you found him.
I don't know what a good piano is supposed to sound like but I loved the sound of those hammers
