You sold me on the Collins dollies, having watched many videos before seeing this! I don't tow, and will not purchase them... but I am impressed. Keep up the good work.

What you showed is exactly why I did not like the ITD dollies my buddy had. That pry handle has FULL WEIGHT on it the whole travel until it locks. And then all you have locking is that little spring loaded pin.

Man that was the best dolly review I ever seen held a dump truck crazy!

@@CaseyLaDelle Man you had those crossbars smiling 😊 I never liked those ITD ones either. I agree with everything you said. In repo situations (say you're too close to a wall to fully crank the bar) it's nice to be able to pop them up into the 1st position and the vehicle will roll away. Stop a few feet later and crack them up all the way, lock them in, lock them down, tie down and go. If you can afford the newer upgraded Collins they're totally worth it 100%. Crap tools cost you losses and dollies definitely apply here.

You show how that bar bent well I've actually had that bar slip and luckily it came across the back of my shulderblades some how and threw me to the ground in a heatbeat. I no longer tow but if I do ill definitely be requesting my company to look at the Collins dollies

I’m amazed. I thought dollies were for small sedans only. Tow truck drivers won’t even put a RAV4 on them where I live.

No, they are made to tow 4x4 and AWD vehicles. There are different ratings, mostly to do with what tires they have (size and load ratings). A big use of dollies is in repossessions. Whatever they need to haul, goes on them.

Hahaha absolutely love it bro!!! It doesn't get anymore real than that! They broke so easily! I've never had ITD and I'm glad both of my trucks came with Collins 5.70 I've got aluminum and steel rails and honestly I'm not sure I'll ever use the steel rails. I've had some heavy trucks on the aluminum and although they flexed a little while extended all the way and loaded they straightened right back up when the weight was off.

Very easily. It can tow much bigger than that

so what is the price difference between them. I would think a lot considering the quality difference.

Legally, yes..... they have to be secured to the wheels with what is essentially a motorcycle strap.

Breaking my heart. I just paid $500 for two sides steel.. Not sure name.. But I think in the ditch D's.. Kinda medium duty.. But aluminum bars.. I hope they work together, or I'm screwed. Haven't used yet.. Gotta fix one tire.. It's off the rim on one beed.I'm hoping it pops back on.. But we'll see. I guess I need to be careful with mine. It's got the safety deals like you showed said good. So Maybe I'm in good shape.

Nope, ITD is four lug and Collins is five

I never liked dollies. As i got older and wiser if it was gonna nedd sll 4 wheels off the ground...i used the rollback. Hell i even used a junky ass ramp truck. I flipped rollovers with a rp truck never designed for recovery work so i didny have to use dollies.
