Simply have warriors axe and glad shield and be top damage in every single game.

Now if we can get actual tank items and not items that give protections and also kill people. Base damage needs to be changed. but if you were to nerf protections you will have to be very careful, people are casually doing thousands damage in a second or two, granted it's getting mitigated all to h*ll but that's the thing, imagine a character doing that much damage, and you're NOT mitigating 60% of it. one wrong move and literally only damage and power is usable, and everyone one shots each other, which is also not the smite I want to play.

I'm newer to the game so can someone explain how the starter item and hammer he first built are "defense" items for the all defense build. don't they give power so they're offense?

He should have said tank items. In the case of bumbas hammer and runeforged they are hybrid because they have power and hp.

they dont have defense but they have lots of HP which makes you "tankier" since you have more health

This doesnt seem too be a problem with defense items, more of a problem with gods doing damage without damage items. Like the tanks items are not the one doing the damage (other then some passives) the gods base damage is, so shouldnt you be arguing that all gods or most should get there base power reduced, while adding that reduced power to the items so the damage items are more impactful? Like the defense items are doing their job, which is too make you tanky.

I played a ranked conquest game the other day. I was herc with max phys defense, fully stacked prophetic, the mitigations sigil, and spectral armor. The ADC killed me in 8 autos that were all 400 damage crits.

That's to a late game hunter that you didn't 1 shot immediately, that's kind of the only reason they're not completely useless in a fight lol

Tanks are strong but not broken. It's not hard to stop a tank even solo. I mostly play assassins and tanks so I get a good feel for both sides of this.

I mean any build works if you're playing with, as you call it, kindergarteners

But JJ, if tanks can't absolutely do everything in smite, including 1v5ing the whole team under their phoenix, the game is clearly unbalanced......

Stop crying and the game is actually in a pretty good state right now also glad shield is a bad item
