@@Feuervix But its true? their low altitude performance is due to majority of them excluding A6M,Ki-43 being for high altitude bomber hunting interception "disregarding aircraft incorrectly labeled" I know what I'm talking about, go look at the Xrays alot of them have great engine power but their top speeds can only be reached at higher altitudes hence them using turbos and superchargers on some aircraft later A6M had water methanol injection to have cool intake air temperatures The B-29 was the target that they where trying to take out because nothing they had was capable of intercepting it effectively to the end of the war

​@generic__ I wouldn't say that, but usually it's about the team composition. Very often if my team consists mainly of US or Germany players their lack of understanding leads them to a quick demise against Spitfires and Zeros (both enemies & teammates don't know what they're doing so they resort to crude dogfighting where the turnfighters win)

I had to actually look up the P-47N even after I spaded it 5 years ago and for anyone who didnt know, the N variant was purpose built for the Pacific theater so it could have the range to be competitive. I just wish gaijin stopped giving american aircraft 30 minutes of min fuel

Playing the P47 on WT is like driving a race car in a parking lot. You rarely have the opportunity to exploit this plane's strength, all count kills and KD stats aside, it's just a frustrating aircraft to play in the end. Though when you play a high alt map like Pyrenees, the fun factor instantly pops up. Maybe the P-47 needs again an airspawn after all.

The TA-152H, Hornet, and P-38K get airspawns so why not P-47s? Never understood why they took it away on a plane that has only 12 minutes of WEP and becomes anemic without it.

@@FIGURE332 Yeah the 12 minutes WEP is the last straw that breaks the camel's back for the P-47. Gaijin should give it an attacker status like the Wyvern and be done with it. Don't hold your breath tho...

@@FIGURE332 Hornet and 38K don't need their air spawns. Neither does the XP-50. The 152H needs it because it is over BRed and without it the 152H just isn't competitive at all. The P-47s had an air spawn and were serious clubbers because they were under BRed. They went up in BR and lost their air spawns. This was before the N was added though. The N should have had an air spawn from the start because it is the worst climbing fighter above 2.3 that isn't the S-199.

Btw. Gaijin didn't buff P47Ns because they were realeasing a premium. It's just Metrallaroja noticed F-47N would have worse engine than old P47N. Then he noticed that both engines are actually incorrect and also both planes are 375kg too heavy, and bug reported it. So if noting was done this premium would be even worse than old P-47N.

@@supershid464nah, it’s just bc gaijin usually fixes fms on dev server as that’s the easiest time to fix bugs for them (between patches they’re usually full-scale working on the next patch to keep schedule, so not a lot of time for major fm changes

I like the idea of this plane more than I like actually flying it. So much suffering for the occasional, "oh neat, couldn't do that in a P-47D" SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THE MINIMUM FUEL LOAD WASN'T TWICE WHAT YOU WOULD EVER NEED.

If DEFYN is ever struggling with an aircraft, that's a good sign the devs should fix said aircraft.

If you didn’t notice, the p-47m also got its min fuel increased from 24 mins to 34 mins, so it is a bit heavier than it used to be, and also its fuel consumption was increased to so it might end up draining its fuel sooner than before, when min fuel could help you retain on air for the whole match

Go to the forums with a request for 20 or 25 mins of fuel for *insert name of aircraft here* that doesn't have a min fuel below 30 mins. It is what Gaijin asked us to do in the past and Gaijin never did it when we did. Maybe now they will.

Yeha, then they lost air spawn and got sent up in br and now are definitely on the "bad" side.....they are still fun af, you are just not competitive as most other plane

Your Prop Videos are oddly soothing to me hmm, it's kinda chill and laid back in a good way!

I love these planes so much I have the M but yes everything you said in the first 2 minutes it's so painful seeing so many games end before you can get into position

p47m was the premium i spammed to early jets when i first got into this game. It was so frustrating watching enemies just climb over me, by the time i side climb most of my team is dead just as you said. I wish this thing had an airspawn make it a threat because i love them things. holy shit a 20 minute p47 video

Honestly a lot of American props really suffer in air rb because they were made to fight high in the air but literally nobody goes to high alt in air rb. Its also typically really hard to get there in the first place because of how heavy American props are and how bad their climb rates are. This is why so many American players strictly hug the ground and ground pound with heavy boom and zoomers that are ass at low alt. (This is also why American win rates are so bad)

Love a prop vid! Would you consider covering one of the I-185s? I've always had a soft spot for these, and now they're quite low in BR.

The tech tree P-47N used to be my comfort aircraft in Sim, but a while ago they did something to the rudder and it spins ridiculously easy now. I've tried a couple of times to go back to it, but I can't seem to fly the thing anymore.

according to Wikipedia, a beluga whale only weighs up to 1,600kg, which is a lot less than a P-47N...

P47 really need an air spawn to be competitive.

A big problem is that the game forces you to take too much fuel

my best play is the P-47D-28, I have like a 3-1 ratio in it and consistently turn fights, defyn plays it alot different than I do however so its interesting to see how he engages. After finishing the video my tip is this: F the team & F the meta, climb to 5000+ and work your way down from highest alt fighter and always keep your energy advantage, never dog fight, your teammates are there to keep and pull players to lower alt who cant retain massive energy like the P-47 in a straight line can, boom & zoom from 5000 unless youre dealing with same alt enemies, and never dogfight more than a single turn, boom & zooming the P-47 is very controllable past 750-825 KM/h compared to nearly ever other prop I have played in similar BR's & nothing will ever catch you after pulling out of a dive & regaining alt. you can push players down and force them to dive and reduce alt until theyre on the deck & you can overwhelm most props with your very spread out & very high volume of fire, even a few hits of your .50's can be massively detrimental to good props proformance, at which point regain alt if you dont kill them & keep a very keen eye open for any and all hostiles.

I remember this thing being a lot better when it first came out, or at the very least I made it work. I played it so much the game threw a talisman at it for me. After a while though it started being about as useful as a whale with a dodgy Russian turbojet strapped to it trying to turn with clipped fins. Might have to try it again.

Why the FM changing matter if you didn't Play at Simulation Mode? Your type of game is like DRONE PILOTING BY MOUSE where "pilot" inside cockpit newer make mistake in his own piloting technique. So what's matter how good is FM , if you personally NOT USING IT directly thru joystick, when all you mistakes in piloting technique matters, cause IT depends on you how plane flying exactly? That's why im not playing RB, only SB - cause all depends on me, not a few linea of program which pretending to be pilot inside cockpit, who directly reacting to moves od my MOUSE.

It should have an airspawn.

I got 5 kills with P-47 D 22, that was my only good game with it and my only good game of my entire grind in American tech tree lmao.

Have you ever done a video on the XP-55 I absolutely love that plane..its a killer please do a video on it. it is amazing, I am so glad they upped it from rank 2 to rank 3 and you can easily take into 6.3 matches and slay in it, i don't think any prop in the game has the energy retention this plane has, and it is not uncommon to pull over 12Gs in it it is one of the few planed that can black me out with it sustained high g turning ability, yes it has shit rudders but is is a weird plane and in ground RB it is a menace easily strafing out tanks with all that firepower in the nose.

F-47N is my new favorite plane in the game.

I find using the radio menu is more helpful for cluing your teammates into a good target.

I really like the look of the Corsair planes, are they any good / which one is the best? I havent played US planes yet

It should've been reclassified as Interceptor and given air spawn with BR upped to 5.0.

As a p47N connoisseur a slight buff is really nice. I love using it, people dunno what it’s really capable until it’s way above someone. And people get confused why I don’t take certain dogfights. It’s because I know I’m not a 47d 28 nor the razor back. I just want skins for the 47N. Because I’m on console💀 also I can’t lock people anymore behind me in air rb. I’m forced to play counter cas in ground rb.

I recently got back into grinding the US tree and I'm a completionist, I spade everything and let me tell you I nearly lost my mind grinding through the P47s. The meta is made for zeroes, spitfires and yaks, not for slow methodical boom and zoom interceptor fighters. It's pretty much in the same boat as the P51-D20, needs alt but sucks at climbing. Sometimes you get a match where everything goes right and you can get like 3-6 kills but those a far and few between, 90% of the matches are either 1v10 or 10v1 and in both scenarios you don't get anything done.

Most players play the game in a way that highly favors planes good in head ons, why the J22 and J21s are so over BRed, or great in knife fights. You get a group of 4 good players in fast planes and suddenly the meta of the match is speed.

There was a time the P-47M was great, it was many moons ago.

would probably help if your min fuel wasn't almost an hour for a max 25 minute game... the Griffon spitfires are the only props where WEP increases fuel consumption noticeably and even they rarely need even 20mins of fuel

I dont know why but watching this reminded me of the clipped wing spitfire which Ive never had a good game in hehe

While it may not be brilliant now, I've definitely noticed the increase in flight performance and it's much less punishing to fly now. Frankly, given my experience with the D-28, the N-15 flies incredibly similar until it comes to performance in high speed turns, you can absolutely whip that thing around as long as you don't get too slow. May not be the best P-47 still, but in my opinion it's definitely not the worst one now.

Lol the d28 not having clip wings already makes this plane goofy

Hey @defyn I have a question, not sure if you’ll read this, but regardless I’ll ask. I’ve played for 9 years, and re-started my account 3 times. I currently sit at a 65% win rate on my newest account, and have years of experience in jets, mostly to 9.7 max however. This being said, on my newest account, I’d like to buy a premium, it’s between the F1C-200 with its constant buffs, and the Mig 23 ML. I’m not concerned with the learning curve at this BR range, I will pick it up. But I’m curious which is an overall better package? In your opinion! Cheers!!

Just give more planes that have to climb for years and air spawn and then boom it’s fair. Maybe even just a a bit lower then a usual airspawn
