Hopsin makes sure his vocals are prominent, clear and loud enough for his words to been clearly heard. Unlike some rappers who bury there raps so deep in the mix you can barely hear what they're saying to understand it.

The cool thing about Hopsin is you can draw a straight line of lineage to Eminem. I remember watching videos of him when he first started out saying how Em was his greatest influence and how he patterned his flow and rhyming scheme from him. Now it's crazy to see how he's evolved into the rapper that he is today. It goes to show that if you study the greats and use them as a foundation you become the next generation of great lyricist, that's exactly what Em did.

Hot damn bro, I gotta be honest with you, I had to stop messing with rap for the longest time. Where I grew up, I was always hearing the greats blasting through the stereos. 2Pac, Biggie, Snoop, Jay-Z...you name it I was hearing it. I always knew it was great, but that was about the same time I started getting into rock and metal and it dominated everything. Once I started hearing rap again was around the same time mumble rap started taking over and I had to turn it all off. I guess what I’m saying is thank you for turning me on to some newer stuff that isn’t shit. It’s so refreshing to hear newer artists that actually care about what they say rather than spitting a bunch of nonsense to make a buck. I noticed it’s been a bit since you’ve done a metal reaction. You gotta do Walk With Me In Hell by Lamb Of God. The video is a compilation of a bunch of live footage from the album cycle and it’s got some instrumentation to lose your mind over. Definitely not their heaviest, but a good introduction to their sound.

I have a very similar story. Grew up on hip-hop and stopped listening when they let dudes like Gucci mane and rick ross get big. Started listening to a lot of rock/ metal/ heavy metal, jazz, blues, and other alternative genres. Tried to come back to hip hop but it was nothing but bitches mumbling and auto tuning over subpar beats. Watching this guy's vids got me back into hip-hop too.

If that shit were ever real, Hopsin would’ve murderalized Joyner. I love Joyner, he’s an excellent storyteller, technical af and all other crazy, but Hopsin is a battle rapper, tempered through all hells, even Eminem would’ve had trouble with him :-)

Im a hardcore metalhead and Hopsin is on my top 3 favourite artists... the man got mad skills. I like the title of this video, with all the MGK/Eminem shit that went down. If there is *anyone* who could beef with em it would be Hopsin. God forbid it ever happens cuz I think he'd still be the underdog, Em is vicious but unlike everyone else he would not be counted out before the battle even begun.

When hop came to my city, he got me up on stage to rap swizzzs part in 'how you like me now' cause he saw my rapping all the words in the crowd. Was awesome. My second fav behind shady
