What's even more terrifying is the sheer mass. Its an endless expanse of foreign gases, riding an airplane from one side to the other would take over a week nonstop. That’s as just him holding a red light as red light doesn’t cause glare on the telescope image so if you need light around an imaging telescope, use red

It's the fact that there are infinite number of galaxies and inside those galaxies are infinite number of planets, the whole thing makes my brain explode. And i believe 10000% there are civilizations all over the galaxy its just that everyone is at impossible distances away. Sorry to break it but if you were looking to see that it would have to be a space telescope a telescope on the ground could not see that😢 The most you would see with a Barlow and a high magnification eyepiece is smaller more like a ball with a disc around and some detail on the planet. Trust me though I thought the same I thought you could see that to when I first watched the video.

@@Hulk_Jedi_A U really don't need more then a $700 Dobsonian to see the planet 🪐 Saturn or Jupiter and once U see that for real U will be fukin hooked! Don't believe me then try it! I didn't believe it till the Brisbane Astronomy Club let me look through their 12inch mirror telescope ($5000)

@@CraigLandsberg-lk1ep you won't see that close if you have a ground unless it is a 16 or bigger (inches) but also you wouldn't see that clear aswell it would be realllllllly fuzzy and blurry.

This is terrifying

I can see it in the sky at night for the last couple of months. Can just make out the rings with binoculars. Still tiny. Amazing though and pretty haunting out there on its own.

I love astronomy. This is truly the greatest thing ever.

It's bigger than 100mm in diameter, but an 8inch Dobsonian can get you a decent look at Saturn🪐 for around $700
