I love this idea of challenging yourself to shop each department (category) at the thrift. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed when I enter the store and like you have items I don't enjoy searching for, like shoes and clothing. The next time I go, I'm going to challenge myself to find those $30 sale items and try to include all departments. Books are a hard sell here in the US because of Amazon. Leather bound Bibles sell well but may take longer. Thanks for your inspiration and fun videos!

I agree with the shoes. I never could get into reselling those. There's just something about cleaning schmootz off of them I never could stomach. Books, on the other hand, are my cup of tea. Everytime you walk by the bookshelves I'm hoping you'll take a peek! But that's one of the great things about reselling. You get to focus on areas that you're interested in and have lots of fun with it. 😊

Hi Sherri! I learned recently that puzzles generally don’t have the exact number of pieces they say 😱 so, the counting method may not be your best bet. Unfortunately, I proved this the hard way by counting pieces of a thrifted puzzle, and the difference was actually something like 980 for a 1000 piece, but it WAS all there!

In books, recipe/cook books are always good the older the better and spiral binding a good thing to look for.😊

Yes, this would be my recommendation as well. It might be more of a niche area but I always check this section and have picked up some fairly valuable ones for my personal use. Another area is brooches but these usually get picked over quickly. I always carry my Dr. Lori loop just in case. Happy hunting!

Loved this! For me and some other resellers I know, in the book department, textbooks are where the money's at.

That was quite creative and enjoyable. The prices are so good in your area that it makes a $20 challenge doable. My thrift stores would have priced several of the things you bought at $12 and higher. Great job
