Don't forget that you need to be wearing the church armor set to get the sword when you talk to Ludwig's Head.

It’s amazing seeing how little damage (comparatively) Ludwig does to you than he did for me. I made the mistake of beating bloodborne 3 times before I bought the DLC. My first experience with the DLC was on NG+4… took me forever to beat him

@@venomousghost8155 I considered that as well until I beat him. I eventually go to a point that I just vigorously learned his moveset so much I that I could almost beat him hitless. The only ones I still have trouble with are his phase 2 sword slams when you’re right in front of his face. I still can’t get the AOE timing down on that but I was able to finish him off with a riposte or whatever it’s called in bloodborne. Visceral I think

In order to receive moonlight sword, you need to talk to the head of Ludwig and then kill tis head. Also you need to return to the lift before those maze-stares room (were you put hand in head of mummy) and activate lift but not go up and wait while lift will be up, so you will see a secret platform with the key to unlock bossfight with fire monster that is looks like Cleric Beast.

I know I am late. But if you want to know what happened to Ludwig & why failures are called living failures is because Ludwig lost himself to the beastly scourge meaning his guiding moonlight led him to his insanity. Living failures are called failures because they failed to be great ones

The living failures get a lot of shit, but IMO they're pretty cool. Not the most fun boss fight, but definitely interesting. Lore wise, the entire hunter's nightmare's first area is a hell born of the hunters who have gone insane, and the hatred of certain people and a particular Great One. Research hall and beyond are physical manifestation of Maria's regrets and traumas. It's all a big mess of convoluted, not particularly clear inferences made through info in the main game and DLC, and far more to explain than would be reasonable to put into a single comment.

I started watching your videos from fallen order and now I have watched almost everything you have out regardless of if I know the game or not. You are hilarious and you help me unwind from stressful days. Thank you for being you sir! Appreciate what you do and put out.

There are no spoilers here Little thing you should know, go back to ludwigs boss room a few times, there should be something on the left just before the stairs, interact with it a few times, go back to the hunter's dream and just repeat for a little bit, you get something interesting

You can fight the flaming cleric beast boss now. Where you fought the two female hunters in black and white garb if you send the lift up but don't ride it there will be an area that has an item you can grab, bring that to the flaming cleric beast you found at the start of the DLC and you can trigger that boss fight. Its the only optional one of the DLC

put on the choir garb and helm and talk to the head in Ludwig boss room, go through his dialogue and say you see the light and you get it, to get to boss fight outside of first lamp, go back to elevator, let it go up and then take the next one down and grab Lawrence’s skull to activate boss fight

they're calling living failures because they were people who failed to ascend to a "great one" status!

Man has missed out on about 5 new weapons, back in ludwigs room find his head by the stairs and kill or talk to it and it will give his sword, plus before his bossroom probably most fun weapons: boom hammer, beast hunter saif, whirlygig.

The reason you don't do as much damage to hunters is because of weapon types. Your weapon at that point was one that deals more damage to beasts (especially in the form you were using it in).

I see a lot of other people play the DLC and Ludwid just kinda doesn't do anything for some reason. This is the first one I've seen where Ludwig is really aggro like he was to me when I did it. I watch people fight and he just swings one or two times and they get amazing RNG.

Idk if it's just me or not but after playing Elden Ring and fighting Malenia 100 times, all these previous bosses' attacks look very well telegraphed and easy to dodge. Kinda like previous games' enemies are all in slow motion AND predictable. Anyway, try dodging left or right when you're in their face to kinda get behind them before you start punishing or heal.

I love Bloodborne and I hate DLCs, but the Bloodborne DLC has some of the best content in the whole game.

I killed Ludwig on the first or second try, can’t remember. Orphan was less than five tries. Lady Maria pretty much the same. Lawrence though? That mofo (to me) was the worst boss in the whole game.
