My uncle gave me a cracked copy of this and I would spend HOURS, jumping from lily pads to lily pads, climbing the ledges to get the potion and fighting all the fellas and animals. My brother would take over for spiders tho as I was scared lol Thank you, Kevin, for reminding me about this gem from my childhood ❤️

I learned to doublejump, for the first time ever, in this game on that broken bridge in the tutorial, when I was 7 or so. It took me a long long time. And then, in my late teens I think, I replayed the game out of nostalgia and realized this game just has a very finicky doublejump :D I also remember being stuck in the final battle for a very long time (I didn't know English back then, and in my pirated copy of the game the random non-cutscene phrases characters said weren't translated or subtitled, so Fiona's hint was gibberish to me). And while I was stuck, summer holidays began, and I was sent to my grandma's for the whole summer, with no computer available. But after a week or so I found out from a friend that I was supposed to throw food, so I spent the rest of the summer fantasizing about what the next levels would be like (I thought I was only halfway through the game for some reason). And when I returned home in September, my disappointment was immeasurable and my dreams were ruined.

im like 90% sure i played this game as a kid. I didn't think so at first but what triggered my nostalgia was the double jumping. it was so frustrating to 6 year old me that it's been engrained into my memory. Honestly it’s the Prison stages and the Puss In Boots fight I remember the most. Oh, and that table of food in that final boss being incredibly buggy. Never finished it because of that fight. 😂😂😂

My favorite part of this entire game is the voice actors trying so hard to sound the same as the characters in the movies lol

I played this game so many times as a kid, I remember first playing it at the public library but it would only let me play a few maps so my dad went out and bought it for me to play at home, haven't played it in years and now suddenly I want to replay it all over again, even now I still genuinely love this game 😂

GOD I used to play this all the time as a child! It was actually REALLY good and the music too! The graphic are actually better than what was around at the time it was released!

You’re bringing back so many childhood memories with these ps\pc play throughs & I love it 🥺 Ohmygod I never finished the game because of how bugged the final “boss” fight was. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who had such a messed up copy of the game lol I must say you truly have THE patience to go through this whole thing & its glitches without giving up on it 😂👏 Me & my cousin tried to finish it for YEARS & we still couldn’t do it.

Oh man, I remember playing this game as a kid and really enjoying the amount of diversity it gave you with different characters and funny potions.

I LOVED this game as a child!! For some reason i could never get past the gingerbread man stage lol, glad to finally find out how the game goes after that

I don't know why but the squeaky sound when Pinocchio did the Michael Jackson crotch grab in the intro made me die lmao. I replayed that part like 5 times.

Interesting fact: the dev team behind this did Harry Potter 1-3 on PC. This is literally the same engine as Prisoner of Azkaban for PC; hence the soulless look in the character models' eyes. 😶 Also enjoyed the video! :))

The Shrek games are an incredible sea of jank nostalgia and awful platforming, truly iconic video games

I have not thought about this game in decades, I played it once when my dad and I went on a vacation and stayed at his boss’s cabin out in the middle of nowhere, this Shrek game was the only game at the cabin and it has been a fever dream of a memory until now.

I used to play this game a lot as a kid. I don't remember if I ever got past the castle with the swinging traps, but I do remember fighting that knight dude a lot...

This used to be the only game I had on my PC so I played it over and over again for a year. Those were some bad times.

I didn't even notice time passing. The video was just over and I had spent the last 50 minutes watching Shrek 2 for the PC with Kevin's great commentary

Kevin making fun of my childhood favorite videogame is somehow making me more happy than I'm willing to admit.

I'm absolutely loving the longer videos. I can't watch them during the week, but it's perfect for the weekend. Icing on the cake.

Oh my gosh, I remember LOVING this game when I was a kid, this video unlocked so many memories for me. Yes, it was an absolute eyesore of a game, but I had so much fun with it. Loved seeing Kevin struggle with the hell that is Donkey's prison level and the Fairy Godmother fight.

Honestly, I'm glad Kevin's videos have gotten longer, it's more time a day I can laugh!

It's a shame The Queen didn't get to see Kevin play this masterpiece

It's funny because I have quite fond memories of Shrek 2 on GameCube, despite that game being in the category it's so bad it's good. Honestly I think the reason I have fond memories of it is because the controls are actually useable lol

​@@brenscott5416 wasn't it the one where each character had their own moveset/power(Fiona slowed down time, Donkey did a back flip kick, Gingie threw a cookie to distract enemies, BB wolf blew enemies away, and so on) and had weird sequences like chasing(or was it being chased?) by a flying house on Dragon, or the puss in boots fight being a _HERO TIME!_ ?

Kevin, I cannot express how much I loved this. Shrek has been a hyperfixation of mine for years (shrek the musical is my favorite) and this made me so happy to see you play this, your content has been comfort for me, thank you for all you do.

"To make a long story short..." Dude you skipped 30% of the movie just so you could go from one forest scene to the next forest scene in the film.

You're on a roll with the long format videos! Absolutely loving them!

Love when I am 20 minutes in and look at the time and see I'm not even halfway through the video yet! Shrek and Kevin, the dynamic duo. This was so buggy but very fun to watch. I really enjoy seeing you finishing more games, it's really awesome to watch you experience the entire game. Obviously not every game is worth finishing, but the ones that are really make the time worth it. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into these longer vids. 😊
