Rocket League on Controller. FIRST IMPRESSIONS.

Ойындар

I've played Rocket League for 2000 hours and reached Champ 2. Now I've decided to switch to a controller. This is the 5th video documenting my journey.

This was a great video from start to finish 💪 made me laugh but also had a lot of great points. Wish I could switch to kbm just to give it a try like u are but like you stated my back can't handle that 😂

Some of the clips were on KBM, that may have been a bit misleading! :)

The problem I have with a controller is that I can't wave dash as easily as I used to like it used to be so instant but now...

Have you tried Rizzo's old controls? Where your left analog stick also controls your gas/reverse while also controlling your turning? That would be a lot more similar to WASD on KBM.

I considered it, but ultimately chose against those controls, because they seem to partially reduce the advantage of Controller. For example, it'd be basically impossible to perform a perfect fast aerial, as it requires joystick to be tilted back BEFORE jumping, which is almost impossible if it also makes you drive backwards.

Yo idk why but I’ve always been a slow learner in rocket league. I have only started learning fast just like a week ago. I have 2300 hours and I’m p3, but I like to focus on mechs. I can flip reset and do ceiling shots. Do you know how I can make my progress faster? I’ve been training by doing ring maps and learning mechs in free play.

Without seeing your gameplay, its hard to tell, but generally focusing on the absolute basics is a good idea. Fancy mechanics don't give any competitive value if your fundamentals aren't consistent! Get good at banging the ball hard and accurate. Power slide cuts, bounce dribbles, study positioning, shadow defense and backwards saves!
