Spring is right around the corner and all of the animals in the reptile room can sense that, especially the frogs, who've been much more vocal then usual. This made me curious, so I played recordings of frog calls to see if my frogs would answer them. You'll just have to watch the video to see the results of this experiment. If you love frogs, this is a must see video. I hope you enjoy it.

My theory is that an animal has to be born and raised with the language to understand it and respond to it...almost like if a human was raised without language would it understand it and know how to talk? probably not. That's my theory, a frog raised in captivity may not be the same as wild frogs... My other theory is the frog recordings just aren't very realistic sounding to a frog unless they're recorded in good quality from nature
