First assets for poe 1 were created in 2005, released in 2013 so it's comparable to poe 2, iirc work on it started around 2017.

This is awesome! I started following you back when Anthem was around and watched all your videos back then. Now you're covering one of the games I picked up shortly after I stopped playing Anthem and has been my favorite game since. I know you have a totally different way of covering games but it would be awesome to see you get really into it and maybe doing some build guides. Would be awesome if GGG came up with an open world game with the massive amount of detail they put into POE. Maybe team up with developers like Wildcard and bring their systems together and come up with some open world exploration on the Wildcard side with the player progression, monster build and obviously loot on the GGG side. That would be awesome!

12 classes with 3 ascendancy's each ... that alot of build variation already :D

@@Gamer9o Oh it's been done in PoE1 in the past. When Berserker was a lot more OP than now, people did builds with zerker everything. Even Righteous Fire iirc.

@@christerjakobsen8107 Yeah, there was a time for a couple leagues when Witch was only for Occultist minion builds and Warrior (Chieftain iirc) was the best spellcaster

Was witch easier to play compared to the other classes when you played with minions?

Amazing how GGG can make such amazing game with COSMETICS ONLY... I mean yeah, there are also stash tabs which are pretty much mandatory after playing for a couple weeks, but they are often on sale and you can get a decent amount of tabs for a "regular" game price And quality is superb... meanwhile mediocre games make you pay a sub/ season pass/ p2w... and cosmetics. And the money doesn't go to devs/ to improve the company/ make better products

Yeah people say the game is free to try for a long time, and if you like it and want to play a lot, then you buy $20 worth of stash tabs and that's like "buying" the game

Absolutely! Would be great to say hi and hang out and talk PoE2! I think I'll definitely be playing witch when this game releases. Reminds me so much of Necro 💀

the animations and detail in this game is crazy compared to like diablo and other arpgs. I just hope it wont be super complicated to play this like the first one was. Im def too dumb for that lol

I think it'll still be very complicated but they're likely going to work on the player onboarding experience so that it's more approachable for newcomers to the franchise.

I don't think the Beta (Early Access) will be open for all. They will probably do what they have done in the past for Closed Beta's. - They will send out email invites to people that sign up every week - People that have a lot of play time in Path of Exile 1 will get instant access - People that have spent 500$ in total on their account over the years on Path of Exile will get instant access - They will probably sell supporter packs that grants access to the beta. These usually start at 10-20$ This is what im going with until GGG says otherwise. The devs still call it Beta but marketing calls it early access. All the info we have from them at this point is that is closed, so until they officially say that its open for all when the beta starts, thats what im going with. It doesn't really make sense to open it for all at the start. Since there will probably be a lot of changes and balance since the beta is to test the game and the economy etc before it launches for everyone. If they do major balance changes they will also do wipes if they feel its neccesary. They of course will need thousands of players to really test the game, so im guessing many people will get access over time

​@@bjornardasssource ? I don't think it will be open for absolutely everyone, there will most likely be some requirements you have to met or a supporter pack you have to buy to get in. That's at least how it's been in the past and what most creators think as well

@@sonoftristram There's still confusion on that aspect. Early Access, in my eyes, is open for everyone usually paying to access the game. Last Epoch had early access and I was able to play that with a certain fee. ($30 or something like that) Well worth it for this game. Supporter Packs are likely the way to get in but there are speculations if this will be open for everyone. I'm anxious to play and I would hate to miss out on a technicality that Early Access is a 'Closed Beta'.

@@Fighterfan69 yeah usually early access is payed(usually a bit under full release price) Early access in general can mean everything from late alpha to almost finished but Jonathan Rogers said that they will release it into EA in a quite polished state. It might be free since the game will be free to play but so far we know nothing exactly unfortunately. Let's hope to get some more informations about it soon 👍

Glad to see you covering PoE2. I loved your videos leading up to D4 but that game fell flat for me and I stopped watching content related to it. I know GGG is going to do a great job with their game so hoping you keep the videos coming.

Was there excessive screen shake while in couch co-op? I know when my son and I played couch co-op in Diablo 4 there was so much screen shake as it moved due to both our movements it started to give me a headache.

theres a setting in the options to adjust the screen shake. atleast on pc there is.

Path of Exile 1 has options to disable screen shake entirely, so I'd imagine we'll have a similar setting in PoE2.

Every game has an Accessibility setting to reduce/remove screen shake. Always look into Accessibility, there are pretty useful stuff in most games specially if your vision is not that good.

No entry fee? Are you absolutely certain? I'm pretty sure they are going to do supporter packs for early access.

No entry fee. Supporter packs are only if you want to. Same thing for poe1, they were never mandatory you just had to wait longer. Poe2 though is going early access on consoles and PC at the same time. They want people in the game testing it.

It's yet to be confirmed whether the Early Access will be paid access. The game director has said both "it'll be handled the same as the 3.0 beta" (which was paid access) and hes also said he wants as many people as possible playing it to test (which suggests unpaid) so who knows.

@@Bodom1after1midnight You also have to consider that the 3.0 beta statement was said a long time before he said they want as many people as possible in the early access. Jonathan has proved to be very capable of changing his mind when given good reasons.

I guess I just I'm just showing my age but the good old days of games was not a free to play game where its crammed full of microtransactions for everything you can think of. I enjoyed the first game and I'm optimistic for this game, but I wish they would just sell the game to us for a flat price and let us earn everything in game for game play and challenging ourselves. Feels crappy to know that an awesome looking armor set comes from a credit card swipe and not an accomplishment in game. Hopefully this game strays away from D4 and doesn't go for an open world.

imo GGG has the best pay model of any game company I've ever seen. If GGG continues with their monetization model similiar to PoE 1, you'll be able to do all content, do every build and have any weapon/gear set available for free. There's no reason to believe the monetization model will change, as the 3 main devs are the same 3 devs that started the company +10 years ago. GGG has a history of being very generous with free cosmetics, they give them out consistently for just watching league release and update videos on twitch. Every league (about once every 4 months) they offer a challenge set, which you can complete for full cosmetic armor sets/pets/hideout cosmetics free of charge. (So that's usually 2-4 free full armor cosmetics a year.) There are additional supporter packs or battle pass style cosmetics available if you wish to donate money to the devs. And that's pretty much how they make their money. Once you get to late game PoE1 it makes sense to spend $30 bucks on the various stash tabs so that you can stop playing inventory tetris. But PoE1 is very generous with the free tabs and most players can complete the campaign without ever thinking or needing any additional space. By the time you think about spending money you'll have put in +100 hours into the game, and by that time you'll know %100 whether or not it'll be worthwhile for you to spend your hard earned $. I've spent about $160 bucks on PoE, I have just short of 10k hours in the game and I don't regret the money I've spent at all. My last 3 purchases weren't because I needed or wanted to spend the money on cosmetics or stash tabs, but rather cuz I knew I was going to play another +100 hours in a new league and felt a bit guilty for not spending a dime since 2020. People legit give money to GGG just cuz of the love and that makes it a pretty special community/game.

I downloaded POE a couple times couldn't get into it, but maybe POE2 will catch me. My only concern is I don't follow build guides etc. and if im not careful, suddenly my class wont follow what it should.

Follow a build guide ffs. Stop trying to he that guy, you aren't that guy. Use a build guide to learn the game. Get to end game, farm currency, then make a 2nd character so you can learn without the punishments.

Players guides are what cause people to cry about it being too easy etc. no shit its too easy its been min maxed by 100,000 people and the fun is now drained out of it. I am 100% that guy, I am not going to every time i level open up a web browser to make sure I clicked the exact right skill or passive, etc.

thats not that big of an issue in this game since all classes can use all skills.

Your doing merc work for them so it won’t entirely be your honest opinion but I am interested in the game so still enjoyed the video. I feel like I do want to try my own witch mommy 😂

I suspect they are doing a rework on totems, as they suffer from a few problems. One being that they are stationary, so you must keep casting them over and over. Another being that in PoE 1 some are mandatory for melee builds and Jonathan has said a few times they want to move away from those "mandatory" skills and supports. Hopefully, they will be as interesting as the reworked minions

Zero info on totems except that there's a Shockwave Totem skill in the Warrior section. I imagine we'll see totems once they announce Templar or Marauder.

They probably make the totem more impactful rather than a secondary skill or "spammy" main skill. The new shockwave totem creates huge shockwave but slower interval than PoE1.

Between Diablo IV, and no rest for wicked. i am burned out of ARPG. That said, POE2 looks much better than Diablo IV. It looks more tactical vs 1 shot everything as fast as possible (Zzzz).

Would it be possible for you to upload all of your raw gameplay footage? The boss at kzread.info/dash/bejne/om2gsLeej5a_dbw.html is one I haven't seen anywhere else and I'd love to see the entire fight.

I'd rather have bosses that I die to with real mechanics instead of something like Scourge of the Land in d4 that attacks like a freaking robot

POE 2 seems very ambitious and different from POE 1. I feel like the devs are so ambitious that they are constantly re-working the systems non-stop to the point where the game will be in a delayed state for a long time. Nothing better than a fully polished game at release, the downside is that we will see continued delays. I definitely don't see a polished product by 2025. Maybe 2026.

Is it just me or does this game seem clunky?? All videos they are kiting mobs and slowly Killing them...I don't believe that is what people want in arpgs and don't see sucess here at all...

You do realize that this is low level footage from the first 1 or 2 acts? So from like level 1 to 20. The game will be a lot faster at end game.

Yeah, because D3/D4 campaign skip is so engaging...

I mean it looks fine. I still don’t know why people are saying this is a ton better than D4. Just looking at these clips of fighting, I wouldn’t say it looks a ton more fun than D4. In fact if you put clips of D4 fighting next to this one, I would say D4 would probably win. POE2 has a rugged look, which isn’t bad, it’s just not as rich looking as D4. Why are people saying this is so much better than D4?

Fluidity of movement,wasd and dodge rolls make for a different kind of combat not similar to any other arpg.Even for Poe is a first and seem to payoff as far as I can see

I find it funny that almost every PoE video has people from the community say something about D4 like "D4 bad" or "D4 trash" almost like they find the game as a threat or something...and they have to put it down because they have an inferiority complex... almost like a high school bully... XD

I could write a long list but I'll start with one of my pet peeves against D4 and D3. Lack of build diversity. I wanted a Pet build for my Druid which I could do from the start in D2. Now I have to wait until tier 4 in the skill tree to access wolves. Adding skill points to them didn't feel like I was getting stronger. Most build iterations like adding poison or extra tornadoes are all through items. Why should I look for a specific item to allow extra tornadoes or added poison/fire damage? I POE/POE2 every class has access to all the gems as long as you have the stats. I've seen footage of recent POE2 videos where a Ranger was casting Flame Wall and Orbs. That's cool. If you want your Zombies to add poison/fire/Lightning damage you can with support gems. You want your Totems to spout out Skeletons and raging demons you can. Sure these drop as items do but this happens often enough and you are not tied down to finding items that have specific stats for the build you want. Viable or not, the Possibilities are endless.

Diablo 4 looks better and more fluid. This game seems clunky.

You do realize that this is very low level gameplay from like level 1 - 20? The game will for sure be a lot faster at endgame. This is also PS5 couch coop footage, so the graphics will be a lot better when playing on PC.

Been on and off this game. Think I am back on board since they revealed it will be it's own separate game from PoE instead of just a new campaign and the gameplay is nothing like PoE. We'll see though, their crafting system is probably still going to suck like PoE's does.
