I remember that whenever someone was asked to name a mouse icon for osu!, "FunOrange" would definitely be on their list. At least I can say that for myself. I remember you from your first Airman video! One of the biggest inspiration for me even tho I wasn't really a mouse player, but i always admired those who were ;) Also good job on developing these helpful programs for the game, they are surely will create a lot of upcoming legends 💪

Rewatching this video after a year because FunOrange had such an impact on me, I still remember him. I stopped playing after FunOrange's Osu career started to fade. It was a fun time, looking at my idols and all, I kind of still am searching for new idols and communities to follow, just like Osu. I wonder what kind of person I will become. I miss everyone that has been throughout my journey, including FunOrange.

I started playing in 2011 along with Chewin (some people may still remember him for getting a 1x miss airman choke back in 2011), hit around #60 at ppv1 peak and #200 ppv2 peak and I see myself so much in the points you made that motivated you to keep playing. Seeing my name pop up on bancho at 0:54 sent me on a trip down memory lane. I too was a mouse player who was inspired by SiLviA in 2012, he got me into alternating as well before it was cool... Like I'd get dms from people asking me how I alternate. Idk I just do lol. You were on point with the clout thing, I was a friendless quiet kid in high school and the thought of reaching some sort of osu! stardom filled my mind with absurdly high levels of dopamine. I had a ton of time and nothing else to do besides school, I'd spend all day thinking about playing osu. I'm 25 now and really wish I could get back into the game (I can finally afford a decent pc!) but there's no time or motivation for it anymore, and just like you, the thought of being unable to reach the level of today's top players no matter what I do (even if I had infinite time, I wouldn't have the drive I had back then) demotivates me from trying. The only thing I regret (although it was out of my control) was not being able to afford a half decent setup that could have propelled me much higher up in the rankings at the time. You were a great inspiration for me back then :) didn't know we related so much in our experiences and motivations. Cheers, Jordan

You're 8 star unravel video was the first ever osu video I saw and it was infinitely more impressive than anything else other osu players were doing. I was just so impressed at how you could process all the things that were happening on screen as they were changing so quickly. I decided that I wanted to do that but was intimidated. I watched more of your videos and other osu players and started playing at the start of 2022. Thanks for the inspiration and I wish you good luck on your future endeavors. =)

i remember being a high schooler and dreaming about playing on the OWC Canada team with you & Azer. seeing you stop playing osu because you thought it was a "waste of time"... i was heartbroken, and eventually went on to playing other games (but still keeping up with osu on the side). i don't blame you for being a kid and saying things you don't believe anymore. especially not since i didn't know you pivoted into making it into UofT, Waterloo and Mac though??? i'm very happy to see that even though you did this, it ended up being worth something, and you ultimately didn't regret your time on osu. good luck with whatever you set your mind to. i'll still be quietly cheering you on from the sidelines.

been watching your videos since you started making them. you and azer have been by far my biggest inspirations to get better at this game over the years. i've been through a lot of shit - grown a lot, been through relationships, gotten through school... and i still find myself coming back to your channel 8 or however many years later for inspiration. you, azer, and azr8 have been the thelewas of my 8 or so years playing this game. i never had the motivation that is required to get to the top, but i wouldn't have had any interest in the game had i not been obsessed with yalls plays back in the day. your description of how you eventually just lost interest in osu and video games in general really hit home as a 22 year old. good luck out there man. i hope you find similar success in whatever goals you decide to work towards in the future ❤

I first played osu in 2016 but never really played again or got into it until the middle of 2020. I have friends who actively still play osu and told me back then that if I really wanted to be better at the game that I had to buy a tablet, even if it's a cheap one. But then I get your videos in my recommended and I watched how well you play using mouse. And so your videos inspired me to continue playing osu using a mouse and in under 1 year (at the time) I caught up to the level my friends regularly played at which is around 5-6 stars, which isn't really that high I guess but it was fun lol. I also got probably the best mice I've used so far through watching your 3D printed mouse vid. TL;DR: thanks for the really entertaining videos and streams. It gave me a really fun time playing osu.

My favourite time was around last year when you were really active. I hope my journey will be as interesting as yours and Continue playing for years on end. I’m In highschool just like you were but the difference is I’m not playing as much. Idk what else to say but have fun and “see you next time” cuz there will always be a next time. Quitting osu is not possible. We always come back. So do me a favour, make another video in 10 more years maybe not about osu but about life and in 10 years I’ll be close to this video now (in my osu journey)

The moment thelewa was mentioned hit me like a truck. I joined quite a bit later (2015, I think?), but I was still just... not ready. Masterful video, by the way. Kinda explains why I never got out of 6 digits. I never had time, I saw more potential elsewhere, and I'm not a Filipino. All I had was just... enjoying the game when I had the chance to play it. But judging by the video, maybe that's how it was meant to be. Not everyone's cut out to be a top player. I'm glad a person like you managed to become one. Cheers to the 10 years. Just like you, I also was looking up a song when I found out about osu. I watched a few videos on it in the 2012-2013 era, but didn't make an account or play the game then. A few years later, I re-discover the game again - notably, your channel, but don't do much about it, in 2015. Your aim with a mouse made me incredibly jealous, and I racked up a few plays, but ultimately quit within a month. Fast forward to 2019, I suddenly find myself bored of everything, and with a lot of free time - and after three years of on and off playing, I am super close to scraping my way into the 5 digit realm! As much as we both know it, things can get boring, and you might "abandon" something, but eventually you will find yourself with some free time, nothing better to do, and boot up an old game for fun. Thanks for being my thelewa/SiLviA all these years, and likely serving as an inspiration to many other mouse players.

I started playing in 2016 but stopped for a few years coming back every 2 yrs when I remember I have osu. This video is really nice and I feel inspired to be better. I am happy you are doing well and wish you the bust of luck with life! Also fun fact we live in the same town and I only found that out like last week.

Ended up quitting this game. It's an amazing game and honestly get loads of fun out of playing it. The community surrounding it however is unbelievably hypocritical in how it behaves. The Osu community seems to have a 0 tolerance policy on toxicity... Within their own community that is. If you've ever seen how players of this game behave outside of the osu community though, it's a real eye opener and makes you think "what the f right do you guys have to demand no toxicity in your community?" I can just leave it at they do not behave in other communities in the way they expect people to behave in theirs. For how insistent they are about this, it is pretty sickening to see this and I don't really wanna play the game again.

I was postponing this video for 11 days because tbh I didn't want to watch it since I knew how it's gonna end. It is so funny how osu community has it's "circle of life"; you watched thelewa and wanted to be like him, I found your videos and I was so fucking impressed with you smoothness (2016-2017?) that wanted to chase your level - to this day you are the top player in my eyes. Of course, your commitment to the game was way higher than mine, however I'm still proud of achieving ~50k and starting to understand tech maps sooo much more. I wasn't that obsessed with, well with you xd, as you were with thelewa, but every time I felt down because of how I played, I was watching your videos to get me going again. And just every time you uploaded I was admiring your plays so much, then quickly going to the description and downloading the map.. :D I'm very happy that you shared this video, because I was never keeping up with your stuff that much, and this is like a little peep to your life, which made me happy tbh, such a strange world we live in xd. Are you planning on posting anything? Not even gaming, just the stuff you find enjoyable. It's nice to hear that you feel good (or more like, I hope I understood your vid AND you are feeling good) with your life, but since we all are selfish - I hope one day I will see another osu video on this channel  Ps. Thanks for the apps you made :) u cute

I've been playing osu! since 2017. While that isn't a big milestone compared to the additional 5 years that you have compared to me, you were definitely the player that inspired me to pick up the game after I saw it from another youtuber. When I first started, I was in awe at the fact that playing mouse has potential after watching your "Seashore by the Moon" video during class back in high school and although I don't play with mouse as much anymore (I switched to tablet around 2020), part of the reason why I sometimes still play with both methods is because I think back to your videos and how amazing they demonstrate the potential of mouse. (Also, it's still fun to me in a way). Even though to some now, you aren't the "best" player by modern osu! standards, I still think you are a fantastic player and to me, you will always be my favourite player in this entire game. I wish you the best of luck in everything you do FunOrange!

I've been playing osu for a little over a year now and this video has made me realize that maybe I will make it to the 10 year mark. When I first joined the game, I never understood how people played this game for 5+ years, sure it's addicting but I believed that I would quit the game before 5 years, but since my first year of osu has flown by, I'm now reconsidering, I'm slowly understanding how people play this game for 5+ years and maybe I'll be one of them (God forbid).

Only real ogs remember no pain no game live play. Dang man that quick fire tk with the blue switches and the Logitech g400 with the steel series mousepad really brings me back, I remember I bought them and used them for about 2 years. You were a huge inspiration to me when I was new to the game, still use mouse to this day!

To be honest I can't believe this hahaha, I have been playing osu in 2013, break to 2016-2018, and some months in 2020-2021 I was 16 yo, I grow up with this game, and I peak #15 Spain (#1500 world) I played osu 2 hours each day during two years, I didn't sacrificed that much, but I loved the experience and the community I'm impressed you went to uni and now work, like me, as front end developer (I'm 21 yo) I also been playing mouse, but my peak level was using tablet, I loved your videos, and now I think we are not so different hahaha I also felt the same way as you playing osu! and I understand a lot of feelings you had in the game Congrats by reaching the top and also having a good job, I had to fully quit it if I wanted to reach where I am now. Cheers
