    I never liked 3 dribbles because it isn't realistic. When I was playing I always guarded the greenlight player. I could potentially be guarding a player for 8 dribbles and then again 10 dribbles. One of my coaches came up with something genuis because although dribbles aren't defined in a real game, time is. So he had us do 5 seconds. Because usually after 5 seconds the offensive player pulls out whatever move they are going to settle with.

    I think what people are failing to realize is on Green's first real move he slipped and could have potentially got hurt. He assessed the risk versus reward as a millionaire and as someone who can still legitimately play NBA basketball. And it wasn't worth the risk getting hurt trying to go full out. That being said if you're going to play one-on-one play full out. This is not the first time that I've seen KZreadrs slip on that court there. I think the place may not be air conditioned correctly with that many people and it creates a lot of humidity on the floor

  • @lakerdog22

    @lakerdog22

    This is the only correct take. GG is still trying to get back into the league. He slipped twice - he could jeopardize the rest of his career trying to prove something to people. He was already in the league - only Dev has anything to prove here. Not saying Dev didn’t do his thing though.

  • @L3GACY31

    @L3GACY31

    @@lakerdog22 exactly. I'm not taking anything away from the Creator classic or Devin or anything like that. I was a former semi-professional athlete myself. Play basketball and college overseas the whole nine yards. One of the first things I noticed once I went pro is that most of my one-on-one games from that point on were always with other professions. There's kind of like a code and a decorum that goes with the physicality of playing pro. Don't get it wrong the games are competitive and real but it's more skill for skill. A lot of these KZread games streetball games end up coming down to straight physical. Not saying that that was the case with Devin or anything. But nobody's trying to get their legs taken out from under them in a pickup game. Especially if you're a professional. All you need is one slip, one trip and it's enough to know if there ain't enough clout in the world it's worth the impending future of your knees and ankles LOL. Big shouts to death though he's a real one and he knows basketball. And the guy can officially hoop.

He's still trains and can actually really plan a high level I've seen him play this year in a couple open runs when I was in vegas. Obviously no guarantee that he's going to make it back into the league but he still can play on that level. So he doesn't want to risk it while he still has a small window kind of like Carmelo.

I wish it had been make it take it honestly, this machup was much less entertaining than I think a match between Dev and any other KZread hooper would be, even if the player you want to win gets the W if the other person wasn't even trying to play then it's not as exciting to the audience

    Gerald Green is more than skilled enough to trash Devin. Plus he's way taller, stronger, experienced & athletic than Dev. He did slip on that 1st drive and perhaps wanted to be cautious for the rest of the game, but he played NO defense on Dev. Never contested a single shot and always went for fade-aways on such a smaller player. Gerald lost DESERVINGLY. He already lost the mental battle when Dev was hitting his shots and the crowd was rooting for the underdog.

    Stop the cap You’ll hating on Dev. Green was playing that’s why he Elbowed Dev in the mouth on purpose. Green couldn’t handle the pressure of only 3 dribbles. Green tried to punk Dev with his size to get him frustrated. When that didn’t work Gerald Green quit mentally. Basketball is about skills, size means nothing if you a real dog. No disrespect respect to both players
