I like how Ganondorf is completely different in the competitive and casual viewpoint. In competitive, he's probably the worst character, but in casual, he's a complete monster.

He still kinda mid in casuals tho XD, like it’s harder for him to get items due to his slow speed and bad disadvantage state, while his moves can’t combo well with half the items in the game

Ganon puts the fear of Losing to Ganon in their head. Once you won a set I could see Jarr visually out of the zone and more frustrated. Ness/Lucina can't do that! :)

That's so true. When you realize you're about to lose to Ganon it can definitely shake you up a bit.

You know you are confident when you are willing to play a character, who many considers low tier, in a tournament. Epic gamer, Poppt1 is. The man won lol

Holy shit, that reverse 3-0 against Jarr was legendary

I feel like Ganon being bottom three doesn’t carry the same weight as in other games. He’s still very much able to do well in tournaments, even able to get decent results in big tournaments.

Ultimate's worst characters are above and away better than any other game's worst character's, definitely including Ganon himself in Brawl. I think a great indicator is looking at the crazy difference in matchup spreads between the worst characters of every game. Ganon and the top three worst in this game can.. do something, which isn't as easy to say with the other Smash games.

This tournament run was more useful than any Ganon tutorial I’ve seen

Poppt titled the previous video as "MY GANNONDORF IS GODLIKE" and this video proves that it wasn't clickbait, lol

@@dent5672 I used to main Ganon ik. It’s hard to time though and leaves you in such ridiculous lag that a miss is always a punish. It’s only ever used by two kinds of players. It’s either the bad players who don’t know better, or the crazy good ones who can time it/know when to go for it (very rarely). If you wanna 2 frame just reverse downsmash. Way better

I mean, you can become a master with Luigi and still be bamboozled by a rare matchup. It's really about the ability to adapt and come up with entirely new strategies mid-tournament, which is waaaay more difficult than Jordan makes it look. I think that's really one of his strengths.

You can't do the 0 to death on super heavyweights from 0%. It works but they have to be at like 20%

@@MrSpeltinator I think you can add an extra Nair loop to the combo on super heavies to rack up more percentage and get the kill. Plunger > dair > nair > dair > nair > dair > upair > dash > upspecial

It's super dope to watch these and hear you say your thought process, and then hear the commentator basically repeat you. It's kind of beautiful in a way

I think your adaptation is the main reason you did so well against Jarr. Lots of people just get frustrated and focus on their offense rather than changing their plans to win neutral. You playing so many games against Jarr let you get in his head lol. That's what makes you the world's second best ganon ;)

Just understanding how you managed to play YOUR game, I took notice when I played as Ganon and helped me improved a little bit. Thank you for your content Mr Poppt1 aka best ganondorf player in the world 😎

A lot of times when your opponent would get too aggressive and hit your shield, you would try and punish them with a forward tilt which is very slow and they could easily shield it. That’s a good opportunity to try Gabon’s side B to mix it up. If they shield, it would grab them. It’s a punishable move for sure, but I don’t think I saw you use it once in any of the sets. I don’t actually know what I’m talking about though and love all your content! :)
