The hilarious part is, the art designer for that (Who was also the designer for NiGHTs and Sonic for the record, Naoto Ohshima) has worked on Mario spinoffs before, but they were both Yoshi games! More specifically, Yoshi Topsy Turvy and Yoshi's Island DS. In the former especially, you can really see the NiGHTS/Balan vibes there.

"the power of Sparkle" makes me think of "Twilight Sparkle" from My Little Pony... also, it's rather silly that way Peach always holds her dress up with one hand when moving around (in her normal form)... BUT, i remember, in an older "mario party" game, she AND Daisy held up their skirts with BOTH hands, EVERY time they moved around! oh, those friendly characters remind me of Olimar and his friends from the Pikmin games!

Fun fact: The same devs of this made Wario Land Shake It for the Wii, which was the only appearance of Captain Syrup after Wario Land 2. Therefore, there is a nonzero chance of Captain Syrup appearing if they make a Princess Peach Showtime 2 (As they should!) Also, my ideal costumes for a sequel would include puppeteer (With Peach holding a not-Muppet of herself) and kaiju. Also, while it'll never happen, it would be hilarious if they did a Titus Andronicus level with Patisserie Peach.

If I can be honest, I think Nintendo didn't recognize who their main audience is for this game. I don't say that just in a "ooh Peach is hot" way, I mean the adults of today who have grown up with Mario for so long, and really wanted a game like this. Obviously, people like Jacob Alpharad are a good example. If the game was at least slightly made for the demographic over 10 years old, I definitely think people would be snapping it up instantly. It's an issue similar to what Yoshi's Crafted World had, compared to Wooly World.

I mean being real nintendo probably just said "well peach is a girl so we're gonna make it for super young girls to get them interested", and then just threw a bunch of shit at the wall. It's not the worst idea, but it also means the game is just a massive identity crisis with no real substance other than just "peach has a game now". I mean super princess peach revolving around the woman character having massive mood swings was uh... Questionable, but damn the game actually looks pretty fun cause it has a clear focus.

As someone who basically got 99% completion, the only things I'd say are REALLY hard and weren't worth my time were the Mighty Rehersal gold medal and the third gem from the cookie section of Pastierre-2 The level of perfection they demand from you feels absurd imo
