This video is about an Uber driver's day on the job, with the goal of completing 20 trips to earn $200. The driver shares their earnings after each trip, providing a transparent look at their income. They also offer tips and insights, such as the importance of staying busy, being prepared for unexpected delays, and considering the location and estimated time of each trip. The driver's ultimate earnings total $177.73 for 14 trips, falling short of their goal due to missed opportunities and cancelled rides. Despite this, the video offers valuable knowledge for fellow drivers and those interested in the gig economy.
I did 11 trips and made $200 today. I don't take every trip because I'm not driving 15 miles for a 2 mile ride.
You're a positive person, and it shows. The math didn't work out this time, but I do find $10 is my average ride. I've tried to find ways of making more, in my area it take about 4 hours to do 10 trips because of the number of drivers on our small area. So to hit 20 trips it takes 8 hours.

Your right!!! Do more!! Be more!! And Get more!!! Let’s go!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm new to Uber, can you tell me how you can see the time and distantace once you receive a ride? Once I click on the ride to accpt all I'm seeing is the pick up. You gave me some good tips, thanks from NH.

@@_Uber_Driving Thanks for the info and reply, I'll try that next trip. NH is a small market and we don't have Trip Radar. Stay cool and safe, enjoy.
Hey!! I’m in Beaumont! I’m new, but my screen looks totally different. Never know where I’m going, Uber can’t show where I’m picking up and where I’m dropping off ? I randomly made a few trips to Houston. Lol

@@_Uber_Driving Hey, I just started driving and my app is new and updated too but it doesn't distance and pay. It just shows the pick up time and distance. Any thought's on what to do? Thanks from NH.

Hopefully this helps….When the trip request appears click the request tab. The trips will appear if there are more than one choose the highest paying one with least distance. At that point it will navigate you.
How’s the Houston market, is it busy or slow?

I have … in and out!!!
Uber navigation is not the best to go by when driving Uber I use Google maps 100% of my 8 plus years I never used Uber navigation strictly Google maps usually Google maps has closed roads on it so it picks out the bust way

You people need to learn to cherry pick the rides.
Just to let you know, this is the only video I came across that allows comments. You have them turned off on newer ones. I'm curious how you decided to use this approach? This can work with food delivery, because you can usually at least get $1 dollar per mile. But you're well below that here.

@ShelterDogs as a matter of fact…. That’s a great idea!!!
working 20 hr
Cool video but it looks like there is not much money to be made doing this. You said you make about 100 in 10 rides that take you about 4 hours. That's about 25 an hr take away car depreciation, maintenance, fuel, insurance so it goes down to probably nothing. I hope I'm wrong and I'm not judging, but it's just my thought.

It’s the same if I wasn’t doing Uber I still pay insurance and maintain the car and also still put gas;)

It's not the same. Sure, you still pay car expenses whether you drive or not, but you pay much more when you drive your car 200 miles daily. Your car will be a broken-down, worthless wreck in less than 5 years, which is referred to as depreciation. It will require several times your average maintenance and repair costs, as well as several times your average monthly gas expenditures. Every single mile you drive, costs you money. For me, it's .39 cents per mile. If I drive my car 10 miles, it cost me $3.90 to operate my car. If I drive 200 miles for rideshare, I'm looking at $78, so of that $200 I earned, I netted $122.
I declined every Uber ride.
You not getting 100 for 10 trip nice try thou lol u probably make 70

Uber controls who gets what, they control everything. They have it set to roughly $10 a ride on average. They know who tips, who doesn't, and they make the matches accordingly. They know everything, you know nothing.
If you want to run your car into the ground for peanuts, take this driver's advice. If you actually want to make money, you need to cherry pick and be selective. Do you move your wheels until you are matched and it meets your minimum thresholds. They want you to be a charity worker while they take record profits.

immediately stop all incoming requests when driving. Uber will give you a rider 50 feet outside of a surge zone and not pay the surge, but you don't know that because you cannot see the map if you accept while driving. It's a very poor practice to accept trips along the way, kills surge in an area too. If all drivers turned it off when driving, it would be surging all day.

@@_Uber_Driving That's a poor way of operating, friend. And you are misleading other potential new drivers and instilling very bad practices. I would recommend against "Driving around to get trips", and accepting every trip. My AR is 3% and cancellation at 17%, never had a warning LOL.
