I think the biggest takeaway here and one that I imagine most people don't notice is that part of the formula that results in images like this is the fact that you are also a phenomenal makeup artist. You are getting images straight out of the camera that need almost no retouching because of how good of a job you did with the makeup. This is a talent that most photographers don't even consider developing and often depend on finding a high caliber MUA which can often be very difficult. Kudos.

Amazing! You created this In a shed between a jug of gasoline and bag of dirt. i guess there are no excuses for the rest of us. Your sister is an amazing model too. Great job!

Anita Sadowska it is so true. Irene’s work is so humbling. We could hand her a pinhole camera, and she would find a way to create beautiful art. And the fact that she shares her knowledge with us is so generous of her. A wonderful person and artist.

I was looking for a studio for my shoot this weekend but I realized my backyard or literally anywhere can become a studio. Your talent amazes me!

Besides your obvious knowledge of lighting and your creativity, what impresses me the most is your posing skills. I would never have thought that making your model "hunch" her shoulders or bend her back would work, but it really does, and it creates a sense of intimacy and delicateness. It's way, way better than the acrobatic poses we often see the models take. Great work ! Thank you so much for sharing !

Sims Eeye I thought these movements of the body were a natural thing to do. Myself like to take photos / images of people in their natural posture. I agree what we see models of today have to get their bodies positioned into these days looks down right excruciating, no wonder the models look plastic they are screaming from inside in pain. This model oozed beauty, natural beauty.

It's great to see a channel post beautiful photographs instead of just average snapshots with everything centered at eye level.

This photoshoot is EVERYTHING! I'm totally in love with the colors and some kind of softness of this photos. And those eyes, OMG.

And this is how I learn how to do cheap setups hahaha! It’s amazing with the things you can do for less.

How lucky are you to have such a beautiful and patient model in your family and how lucky is she to have such a great photographer for a sister! Great video!

Probably best lesson ever about lightning!!! Absolutely masterpiece!

Beautiful work, Irene. I also love that you added the slides of both film and digital. It really made me appreciate the differences between both mediums. I can't say which ones I like best because the 5D mk3 seemed to capture more accurate colors, but the Mamiya film pictures are softer and more flattering to her skin. I also love this DIY lighting setup with the shed. This is definitely one of my favorite videos of yours because I love it when photographers DIY their own lighting setup versus throwing money on expensive studio equipment.

Orysia has a very unique look which works well for these beautiful portraits.Well done both digital and film.!
