I Participated in An AMAZING FESTIVAL IN GHANA | EXPLORE GHANA CULTURE | LIFE IN GHANA
Although I spent a portion of my childhood in Ghana, I never got to learn about the Ghana Culture. In this video I attended the Asafo Tu Festival, A festival in Ghana celebrated by the people of Ada. It is a celebration of the soldiers and chiefs who participated in establishing the Ada township.
The festival was was held at Nkyimkyim Museum (nkyimkyim-installation.busine...)

My favorite Jasmine content as a #GhanaianKulturePreservationist. The clay used on your skin is a type of sacred chalk found in some of our rivers. My Late Grandma used to tell us that, when an Ada person ages, he/she turns into an Ewe; and when an Ewe ages he/she transforms into a crocodile and slips into the waters of the Volta...This simply means that the Adas and Ewes share a common genetic Afrikan bond, as ageless and timeless as that of the crocodile.

Seeing this a day later, anyways those that are critical of this video are the westerners who tend to forget that our African history, culture and languages were stolen away from us by the Europeans. By the way you are looking very beautiful in your attire, thanks for showing. One love from NYC.
MUCH RESPECT FOR THOSE KEEPING THE CULTURE ON GOING, THIS BRINGS THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER AS ONE

Jasmine, your dance moves were fantastic. You are a quick learner. Thank you for highlighting our African cultural elements. It's a pity that in some of our cultures, the traditions have completely disappeared hence the need to foster the idea of preservation.
There should be a cross diaspora festival for tribal things ext , it will bring and show so many similarities and possibly rediscover lost ways ..
Warrior Jasmine has moves! LOL I’d like to see a tour of the museum. I enjoyed this video.
