In this video I challenged myself to paint an ENTIRE Warhammer Army in 48 hours!
I have alot of part painted armies and made myself the challenge to paint the entire thing using my speed painting guide I previously uploaded here -
kzread.info/dash/bejne/pGmnsKuHfbHHqbQ.html
I also post regular updates on my Instagram and Tiktok
Check out my Instagram - slayer_miniatures
Check out my TIKTOK - www.tiktok.com/@slayerminiatures?
I painted the entire army using a process of speed painting - batch painting models and focusing on the same colours on each model until they were all done. This way of painting is super efficient and quick! The entire process took me just under 48hrs! All I have left to do is to base the models to match the rest of my army!
I used a mixture of Citadel Contrast Paints to lay down some base layers of colour, over a zenithal highlight colour. I then used some Enamel Paints and Some Oils paints to weather the models and make them look grimy and more realistic - ie Grimdark.
This style is also called Blanchitsu, which is named after the legendary Warhammer Artist John Blanche. This Death Guard Paint scheme is referred to as 'The Pallid Hand'
If you like the guide then please subscribe! Its free and motivates me to make more videos.
Why not use the guide to paint your own miniatures and get rid of your own backlog/pile of shame.
In this guide I paint -
3 Plague Burst Crawlers
3 Foetid Bloat Drones
3 Blight Haulers
3 Daemon Princes
2 Plague Surgeons
a Lord of Contagion
Typhus
Noxious Blightbringer
Tallyman
Putrifier
13 Blightlord Terminators
20 Plague Marines
2 Deathshroud Terminators

"Do you think this'll motivate you to paint your own army?" Dude, I just came here as one of many examples of how to use my new streaking grime wash because I haven't used it before, and not only does this motivate me to apply this technique to my own army (Knights), it's also having me seriously considering picking up some Death Gaurd models! GW should make an enamel range and hire you lol.

Thanks :) some people love spending hours and hours just painting a face. I do not ha! But depending on the army I would put more time into it. This was just a challenge to myself to get motivated and the painting style fits in really well with the Death Guard. It's all about having fun so if you have fun painting...then it doesn't really matter how long it takes :)

Good stuff, man. It's nice to see a vaguely achievable result now and then. Watching the god-tier mini artists putting out masterpieces is fun, but, frankly, this is more inspiring as I can actually see myself doing something like this without too much of a stretch. Much appreciated.

Great job man. I've found with the AK stuff that you shouldn't wait too long to start pulling it away. It dries really fast compared to say just using oil paints thinned down. The airbrush makes it set faster as well. I've found that doing a tank 1 by one and regular models in a squad at a time. Its quicker to take the AK stuff off which saves a lot of time

Sorry for the necro, but since the AK stuff gets off with some IPA and in some other videos it seems like it can be "reactivated" with it, isnt the time the AK Grime Stuff a bit irrelevant? If its dry, the alkohol just rubs it off either way?

Got a super grainy spray with the white though. With death guard, free texture, with another army with cleaner panels (Tau, eldar etc) that would be bad. pressure is likely too low on the airbrush. I like the consistency across this though, they turned out really nicely and I like the picture of everything together between each step (and the fact that you're neat but not overly which will help a lot of people realise they don't have to be super neat all the time as you can fix things) Oils are great. Marco Frisoni is responsible for converting me to using oils. If you haven't seen his videos, I highly recommend.
