I paid someone to tell me my personal color analysis
I've always wondered what "season" I was when it came to color palettes and what looks the best on you! So I hired someone to tell me exactly what seasonal color I am plus give me 20 colors that would suit me best :) She also included advice about what wardrobe items, makeup ideas, jewelry types, I should stick to. Watch to find out if I am a winter, summer, spring, or autumn girlie!!

Only the burgundy shirt is really a deep autumn color. All the other looked more like summer or muted autumn colors. Go for the deep rich colors!
You stood out in the dark autumn and faded away in the pastels
I LOVE that burgundy top on you. Please note I am NOT an expert (at all) but I've been doing a lot of research into colour analysis for myself. The way I understand it is deep autumn has a pretty neutral undertone that leans warm...and deep winter has a pretty neutral undertone that leans cool. For that reason, some deep autumns find they can "borrow" some colours from deep winter. I don't look good in most of deep winter, but can do some of their purples and greens. Some may also find they can borrow a little from "true" or "leaf" autumn (true autumn seems to be the most frequently used term). For patterns, it's better to have a background that is in palette and a pattern that isn't than the other way around....unless of course the pattern is so dominant that it becomes the colour. And the best of course is both background and pattern in palette. I know for me I look terrible in pastels or anything too bright (like neon colours). I can get away with black...although it's not my best colour. I find I have to wear more makeup to not "look tired"....but it's not as bad as a pastel. A rich navy looks better than black. I always thought I looked terrible in yellow.....and I just recently realized it's because I was trying to wear the wrong yellow (lemon or chiffon). I want to try to experiment with richer, deeper yellows....something that is more gold or more of a deep brown-yellow. I know I look fantastic in bronze type colours.

Love the tips!! I think a deep yellow would also look great :)
I love that they didn’t try to force the season. I am a subscriber to the dominant features theory - basically, yes we all have many features to us - warm or cool, clear or muted, dark or light - but these features aren’t equal. For most of us, there is something that stands out, and if that’ something to is honored, the rest is less important. I think most people are neither clear or muted, warm or clear but somewhere in the middle and just *lean* toward one side or the other
So funny that when you put the light clothes to camera they made you instantly look pale and sick but then the other once made your eyes and hair pop and gave this healthy glow
The maroon and dark wash jeans looked so much better! I can't believe the difference these color analysis make.
$50 was such a great deal! I think the colors she picked look better on you than the soft/muted ones, but your medium contrast may mean True/Warm autumn colors work well for you, too. I'd look at those palettes and see if you are more at home in one vs the other. :) - True Summer, here
Yes the deep colors honor your contrast best!
Yes!! Dark bright side looks better 😍 I wanna make color analysis online too, but I’m afraid of taking bad quality pictures 😁

@@moodymarilyn how do you deal with auto color corrections? >< im so poop with my phone camera
Oh yea the red one looks better versus the other one washes you out
I mean both look really good but for the light one we see the outfit first and the other we see you first and that's the whole point to me
I think deep autumn is spot-on for you. But you can easily look up on the palettes for this season online. Maybe you did in the meantime. I would suggest picking a few colors that you really love and start with those. Because it can really be overwhelming to try to change your wardrobe to your best colors. What you should look for is rich, primarily warm and deep. Your sister season is deep winter. Which means the colors of deep winter also look alright on you. It also means you have qualities of both autumn and winter. Your colors are a bit brighter than the true autumn but also deeper.
The YT algorithm brought me here, as I've been watching a lot of color analysis vids lately. Yes, you are a deep autumn. I think you can wear some true autumn colors too. Search for "true autumn palette". The maroon/ wine red suits you better. The light purple one washes you out - it's too pale/ light for you. The dark green shirt & the teal one looked good when you put them close to your face. $50 is cheap for a color analysis and I think your analyst did well. Did she include makeup suggestions? (if npt, lots of vids abt it - try those of Mikaela Carrizo). Congrats on finding your color season & good luck in your color journey!

Yes she gave me makeup tips! Smoky eyes are really great and lots of bronzer, and to stay away from too much highlighter, matte is better especially for lips don’t do glossy :)

@@moodymarilyn great! Christine Scaman has vids on which reds/ yellows / blues etc look good for each season. I'm a TA but can wear some DA. Btw, you have very good skin - you're v lucky. I love your curls too. Cheers!
All about the Autumn look!!! ❤
🤣 That’s me!! I don’t know what colors to wear!!!! I have no idea!!!
Gorgeous in the dark, saturated tones. I am Deep autumn too. Good to see you get into it.
You looked very good with that olive green T-shirt. The darker outfit also looked good.
Definitely liked the outfit inspired by your color palette better on you! I will say, the other items you held up are in the general neighborhood, but I think they might drain you because they're too muted and gray in saturation - to match with the richness and your medium saturation, you'll probably want slightly stronger versions of those like your palette gave :)
Yes. The deeper colors look better. Much better.
that wine red is amazing on you!!!!
i love this! I would love you to have an in person analysis! x
Love this! I got a virtual color analysis and I found out I'm a winter (but I think I have a couple autumn colors in my palette, too).

The overtone of your skin and also hair- and eyecolor don't really determine the season, so keep that in mind :) Usually it's about the undertone. People with similar features can be in different color seasons!
I went in without looking at the comments, because I typed you as Deep Autumn and I was wondering if they got the same result for you. I spent way too much time learning this stuff last year but I still go back and forth on mine.

Wow that’s impressive 😄 It’s hard to tell sometimes i did a poll on my insta and most thought i was actually a spring! Guess they were wrong lol
The deep red/burgundy looks beautiful on you! I'm also revamping my wardrobe and have found that figuring out my colour palette and Kibbe Body Type were super helpful. Maybe looking into the Kibbe system can be your next step? Have fun exploring your new colours! :D

You don't need bronzer! Your skin is amazing. Great video! Thank you!
you and I have similar skin tone. I find that I have to go either very light or very dark with my clothes to create contrast....medium tones are too similar to my skin and I find I don't like them as much on me by themselves...I have to layer them to make them work
I believe a little bit brighter tones would suit you better than the dusty colors, and beige nude ones.

HEY! I think the analysis was accurate and that you are beautiful. The only thing is all the clothes you showed in the video are still not as warm as she recommended

You may be right about that! I need to look up more specific color options for dark autumn
Such a fun video! Dark side was better!
Loved this! This might just be me, but I'm not sure that the colours of either outfit suited you perfectly, so I would recommend trying an outfit using colours that sit somewhere in the middle, like maybe from the soft autumn palette. This might help confirm they were either spot on, got it totally wrong or were close, idk just food for thought
This isn't how the colour analysis process is done though. You can't just look at someoens skin and decide where they fall. You have to compare different colours in them

yes all the usual fundamental systematic analysis steps were not done, and it's better doing them in person so the person can see for themselves natural light the effects the colours have on their face. It's essential to first determine whether undertone is warm or cool, and the hair must be covered.
Definitely a difference. In the darker colors your jaw line stands out more and your skin color looks healthy. In lighter colors your skin has a slight gray cast. Not terrible, but you pop in darker colors.
I think you looked better in the colours that were not recommended for you, as they seemed to also suit your personality better. I have exactly the same situation. I was directed towards autumn shades but I really do not like wearing them and feel frumpy in them.
@vbachman6742
Жыл бұрын
If you don't like them and feel frumpy, they are not "your colors".
Forget about all those meaningless pictures of celebrities. Your skin has to be tested against warm versus cool undertones systematically to determine your undertone before you start to look at contrast and intensity. All of the clothes you found in your wardrobe that you liked actually had cool undertones and were part of the Deep Winter palette. The beiges, greens and wines. Straight up the dusty blue looked good. Hold some burnt orange, warm rust brown and mustard against your face and you will see right away you are not likely one of the autumns.
❤
$50 is very cheap for color analysis. Most analysts pay thousands of dollars for training.
The red with dark blue looks best. You come alive in the left
You could just try stuff on by yourself and observe what you think looks best, and that way, you would save money and wear what looks best to you, and not what looks best to the person you're paying. No one knows your own preferences more than yourself, so there isn't much need to pay someone who knows less about what you like than you do.
Online color analysis is not accurate. Only have it done in person
@SueRosalie

online can be accurate if done by someone extremely experienced like Carol Brailey. But most people are better off getting it done in person
I’m guessing you are some form of autumn
I thought you would be winter, as winter is for people with darker skin or light skin with dark hair color. Autumns are usually for redheads and some can have warm or cool undertones. Spring and Summer are usually for blondes as spring is for warm blondes and summer is for cool blondes.. I think you would look better in bright winter colors rather than those muted autumn colors. If you want to check your undertones, look at your veins on your wrist: if the veins appear blue, then you're cool toned, if it appears green, then you're warm toned. Also, you're drawn to colors that flatters you the most, so if you wear a particular color and people complements you on it, you will know that is your color.

It's still possible that she could be a dark autumn. Of course, I can't really tell from this video but I personally have dark hair with natural highlights from the sun and my skin tone is a light medium with a warm undertone. Black looks somewhat intense on me. I've also compared different colors to see what looks best.
I think you are a Deep Winter instead.
If you’re going to go through the trouble and expense of getting your colors analyzed, why don’t you go all the way and at least put on some lipstick and some make up? Your face really looks washed out in the darker color which is your color, just because you don’t bother to put color on your face. it’s a total package and maybe if you brushed your hair or styled it at least you’ll have more confidence and look more put together because obviously you do care how you look.
I think the analysis results were precise but the file your received is terrible, messy and unprofessional.
