My papa passed last week. This was one of the songs that was requested by my mom for the band to play during the cremation day because it’s one of the songs he liked… was crying like shit when they played all his fav songs. The band was good and the singer was great.. which makes it sound even better and soulful.

Maybe due to Taiwanese influence in economic activities.

I thought most of the Chinese in Flushing are from Fuzhou or Fuzhounese (Hokchiu) people.

First time I heard this song was from a TV series The Pride Of Chaozhou, except it was sang in a different dialect.
