Awesome video. I love that UTB 18. I really need to get one of those beetle kits. I hope they can ship to the UK.
2nd time viewing this video. I noticed last night that Sand Scorcher bodies were back in stock so I ordered one and the Spare Time Hobbies chassis. Pretty excited about building a bugger so I’m binge watching all of your videos on Dippy this morning.

Killer work! I built 3 sandscorchers on capra cages, 2 with ar44s and the third with an ar44 and element ifs grafted on. They are all a blast to run! Next up im swapping my tamiya yj build to the utb18 portals and finishing it this time..
Get burning hot, Press into hole and wiggle... Gap is filled. 😳 You are so good at filling Gap you must be very experienced! l😅 BTW Shippy and Bleepers look freakin sweet!!!
The full part mullet is going to be awesome. Yes.... the front axle should be offset. But.... Who cares. It's still cool. I watching kpops video next hahaha. The bug conversion on the utb18 is perfect. What a change eh. Great video man.

That (oh) bugger kit looks amazing! I have one on the list but other projects need to come first. As for that Hilux? I'd love to see what another commenter suggests, an 80s show truck paint job complete with neon colors and pin stripes
I would 💯 do that to a UTB18! I need to order everything to make it a reality!
Absolutely love the 69 1/2 and the license plate as well!!! I need to come up with some clever plate options. I don’t like bugs but seeing yours makes me wanna build one lol Great content as always brother!!

I’m doing one waiting on the body
My bugger chassis has arrived in the UK and I've just got the UTB18 donor. I just need to get in the loft and retrieve my blitzer beetle for the body. I can't wait to get going but I've got a workshop to assemble first, this should be the first build in my new man cave. What wheels and tires have gone with, I'm just a bit worried they might rub, the website seems to imply that it's too heavy for the stock foams as well. Love the little painting tips, keep them coming. 👍
@scalebuildersguild

Wheels are Vanquish KMC Tanks. Tires are PL BFG Class 0 tires. I'm not using the stock tires or foams, and you shouldn't either!
I have the spare times hobbies kit, just got to get a utb 18 now.
Bought a sandscorcher body today need to sort chassis etc out. Already have a paint scheme in mind.sort of

Me: This mini Capra is staying stock, I’m just gonna keep it like it is maybe change the cage to black instead of grey. You: Look at this keen little chassis to change the Capra to a bug. Me: Dammit that looks too cool not to do it, I ordered the chassis it the same day. It would be great to see how you did yours, did you go 3 link or servo on axle? What rims and hubs all that good stuff

If you go back through the episodes of this show, I go through the majority of the setup. It's currently 4 link servo on axle, but I'll be transitioning to 3 link CMS ASAP. Vanquish Tanks on a narrow hub. Cheers!

What would you guys think if traxxas came out with a 1:16 XO-1? That might compete with those WLToys and RRollo or whatever’s. If they did it right it would be a lot of fun.
Poor Dippy. What did he even do? Okay, Since you've done two of the same kind of vehicles lately as I have, Ford & Beetle, does this mean you're going to do a Land Rover D110 next? Because that's what I'm working on now.

Awesome work on the Bug. How well does it perform? I have been thinking about converting my UTB18, but I was thinking more of trying to use that chassis and do a mini-chopra with it. Current hold up is an unexpected expenditure on my daily car, so the hobby will have to wait a bit.

Love the content. Very educational. Need some advice. I have been looking at getting a scale crawler. I currently have a fully custom scx24, a TRx4m bronco, and a 1/10 traxxas slash 2wd. I want a bigger crawler rig mainly because rock crawling is technical. My question for u Matt, wut would u suggest as a starter rig? The traxxas TRX-4, Axial scx10iii, or the vanquish fordyce? Any advice would be much appreciated. Keep making amazing videos. Thanks
