I think the issue with the Pixel Variants isn't that it's pixels but not good pixel art. There's some amazing pixel artists out there and some examples of actual pixelated Marvel characters from video games over the years, but whoever does the art for them in Snap they all look very muddy and not a good use of color. Some are fine but most are just bland.

A lot of them are just pre-existing Marvel character art with a pixel filter dropped over them. That's why the faces look horrendous in a lot of characters.

Some of the newest pixels have actually been improving a lot in quality to the point where I’d say some aren’t even the card’s worst variant

@@khaospilot4050 Because there are a lot of them. It's one of the only variants they do for basically every character and none of them are "super rare" so the odds of pulling them are just higher on average. (You'll notice he also got a lot of Dan Hipps which fulfill the same criteria)

I like how Regis gushes over a Variant but never favorites it😂

my friend called the marvel devs sensibility "white guy cool" which is pretty accurate, especially for the titles. they're not quite "epic bacon" bad but somewhere close to there.

i like these videos. I also wouldn't mind these videos having you upgrade a couple cards to see if you get any cool splits on some of the variants you unlock during the video.

I know it'd be very niche but considering how scarcely you use variants, it would be cool to do a video piloting a deck with just your favourite variants, dual purpose of showing what they are to us and also so that we can see if you can make very random cards work together somehow!

I hate the fact that for series 3 completed players the collector's reserves are almost worthless.. You get almost no credits, almost no tokens, no gold at all and you keep getting titles, avatars and the worst of all gold tickets? What if like Regis you don't play conquest? Just feels so stupid and greedy of second dinner.. You get a few variants and there is not even a tiny chance of them being super rare.. I really hate the state of collector's reserves right now. They used to be much better than this. In my opinion there could also still be a tiny chance of getting a series 4 or 5 card..

I made it to pool 3 a few weeks back and let me tell you that my pulls are similar. Stupid credits, 100 tokens, and avatars. I barely have any pool 3 cards and at this point it feels like I'm never going to complete it. I'm tired of not having a viable deck against all these high evos and lokis. Also alioth. Seriously fuck alioth

Hey Regis, big fan of your content. Can I ask when you live-streamed this? Because the last two times I saw you jump on Twitch they were Hearthstone streams. I just don’t want to miss out on your Snap streams.

Tickets are even worse drops than boosters were. Also they have stopped the series drop without any mention of it anywhere and I haven't seen a single creator talk about it either. That just makes the caches even worse for players who have completed their pool 3 but can't just spend money on every new card.

Best pixel in the game is green goblin.

After returning back to the game the things i find that i hate a lot is how much credits you need to get a single key and that if you are pool 3 complete no amount of credits spent matter. CT are scarce and in an abysmal quantity as well as gold

I have 200 boxes and don't plan to open anything till the system changes. I doubt it will, but I'm literally missing out on nothing

I'm only in the late 7K area and I feel like I am getting zero variants from reserves. I haven't bought anything besides pixels from the shop for months (because it was very frustrating being "rewarded" with pixels)

It took me 29 reserves (and I don't know if I'd previously stopped at a variant) to get one variant. I feel your pain. At this point I wish I'd just kept hoarding instead of opening them.

I feel the same way about the gold tickets. At the end of the season I usually end up just setting my title to "I love you" and starting all the gold conquests and immediately conceding to get the tiny amount of currency from starting them. I just don't like playing conquest.

I don’t think pixel variants are necessarily bad, but if they were visually animated with moving pixels as opposed to colour changes and morphs, I think they’d be a lot more popular. Think Snap needs to better animate a lot of their cards to match the standard of those like Chess Bishop of Baby Groot who have moving animations instead of morphs
