Squalane is a cleansing oil, meant to be used like a cleansing balm or makeup melt. U use it on dry skin and then wash off with another cleanser.

Used to really enjoy your half-and-half challenges - would you do a best rated vs worst rated makeup look? Quite curious to see the comparison lol

So glad you're back! This is just what I needed as I'm currently sitting my last few A level exams. They're very draining so thankfully they'll be over soon and I won't have to sit there for 3 days straight ever again. (I hope!) I was taking a break when you posted and my face lit up. I'm lucky we got the Hsc exams out the way last year so it's all just course work left - still tones to do tho, ugh! 😑 But Art & Photography require 15 hour long exams each which we had to do twice for both projects so for me it'll be 60 hours. 😫 I'm just so glad it'll all be over soon. The squalane cleanser is actually decent,but you should use it As oil based cleanser-massage it to your skin and AFTER THAT add water and it turns into milky cleanser.

I have dry skin and I LOVE that boots vitamin C cream!! I did not expect it to be in the worst rated products!! I've been recommending it to everyone it feels so nice, protects from uv rays, and my skin looks smoother and brighter after using it for ages. I have so many bottles of it lol

I really love these kinds of videos. They feel so nostalgic to watch. I was wondering if you could maybe have somebody buy a mix of 1 star and 5 star (or just higher rated) products for you. Then you can do a video guessing which is which. That way you can avoid any confirmation bias.

I'm so happy you didn't get an allergic reaction like one of the users! And I totally agree on the brands changing formulas for the worse! It almost feels like they don't test them at all :'D Your video made my day better once again

Loved this video! The purple hair is absolutely perfect on you :)

I use CeraVe cleanser and it has the same consistency and feels like it does nothing, doesn’t foam up at all, but it does clean. It is a hydrating cleanser so it cleans the bad, leaves the good moisture barrier. Perhaps the Boots one is the same? Especially since it includes squalane, something that mimics skins oils to moisturize skin?

Can you do this again but best rated? Love your videos, always put a smile on my face ❤

The original Palmer's Coco butter lip balm in round tube was really nice I love the smell of Palmer's Coco butter too I used it through all my 4 pregnancy every day without fail for my first three kids and had no stretch marks at all I got lazy with my forth and instantly regretted it ended up with stretch marks on my breasts and tummy and hips only light ones because soon as I saw them forming I started to use it religiously again so any one who is pregnant it's the one that's in the tub it's like a lard greese solid not a lotion but it smells amazing and it really works it helps to fade stretch marks afterwards too mine are barely noticeable now very light silvery white more like scars than the purple stretch marks they started off as

“Deeply unhappy” …. 😂😂😂😂 someone took that VERY personally then 😂😂😂😂

I really love the boots ingredient skincare I’ve never had any problems with them. I’ve got normal skin so it applies well and my makeup looks beautiful on top.

This is crazy coz I had that soap and glory eyeliner and I loved it!!!! Only last year too!!

I have 3 different colors of the maybelline gel blush, including nude burn, and I actually really like them. They do work best for me if I apply it right on my face and then use a dense brush to blend it in

Hi Sophie swartzkopt do a blue black hair dye I think with the purple would look really nice I dyed my hair that colour when I had black hair just so my hair wasn't just one flat black colour when the sunlight or any light hits it has a beautiful blue cool toned sheen to it 🥰

I would love to see this as a series. I know you were trying to be fair, however I was wondering next time, could you review it before looking at the reviews (you can know it's 1 star) but not in detail so it's less bias? I feel like sometimes when people say negative things it has a baring on how we already view the product before we even try it. You can also try best rated reviews in a similar way. Know it's best rated e.g. 4-5 stars but avoid comments until you actually try it?

On the opposite end the Boots Glow range is amazing!!! But you've answered so many questions about their Vitamin C

hi sophie with the waxing it may not have worked as you need to apply with the direction of hair so like down your leg then pull against so up your leg x

I have a Cheek Heat and it's totally fine!

I used to love sleek palettes as a teenager, I actually still rate some of the eyeshadow/contour palettes

it would be a cool video to do worst-rated items but not read the reviews until after you try it so you dont know why its bad and can see for yourself and see whether your review matches the comments

i've used those maybelline liquid blushes, and they were fine lol. they had a decent amount of pigment and blend easily.

As soon as I saw that you were getting products from Boots I wondered if the Palmer's lip balm would be in this. I think if you had tried the original you would understand the outrage 😅 (Also for everyone who loved the og formula - I have heard they are bringing it back this year, but haven't found anything to confirm)

It's a case of which form it's in... inhaled powder is bad for lungs, while a cream/liquid formula for skin, or edible stuff is _not_ bad for them. Though it's not allowed in EU as a food additive anymore, it _is_ one of the safest sunscreen options.

What a great video idea! Also, theres 2 types of wax, strip wax and hot wax. Strip wax will always be liquid and is only removed via a strip. Hot wax goes hard and can be removed on its own. So the wax on your pants (what we called trousers in Australia)definitely wont get hard for you to remove it. You need citrus solvent or wax remover. Goodluck.

Brands should discontinue products and re-release reformulations as something new because it's not the same! Right now, the reason for reformulation is to make products vegan- Replacing natural ingredients with artificial chemical analogues. The worst one was the Melt Cosmetics lip balm that was magic and is now is barely functionally fit for purpose because they removed the lanolin. Are you sure you didn't apply the pore strips upside down?

The original maxfactor pan stick foundation was used on set by make up artists for movies a lot of maxfactor make up was made for that purpose their make up is usually really good no bells and whistles but you don't mind if the product does what it's supposed to their lasting performance foundation used to be my ride or die and their mascaras I still use today and I've used them since I was a teenager the 2000 calories and their stretch was the two I used in the 90s now you can't get stretch so I use the masterpiece max both are really good the masterpiece max for length the 2000 calories for fullness both together are a dream team

I really loved this video Sophie! Maybe next time you can try the product before reading the reviews? That way you can form an opinion first and see if it matches the reviews? I liked it this way too, because I loved you reading them out, but maybe it gives you a bad start already if you know what the problem is? If that makes any sense? 😅
