To decorate our home, we look for all sorts of interesting things in stores. But, if you show your imagination, you can create a beautiful thing from any waste material!
Glass jars are also included. If you decorate it a little, you will get a beautiful handmade vase. The easiest option is to take a hot gun and draw any raised designs or inscriptions on the glass, and wrap the neck with twine. It will turn out stylish. Twine, burlap, glitter, napkins and much more are also suitable for decoration.
I'll be doing something similar today. As a material, I will have a rope for macrame, I ordered a reel from Waldberis, they have different colors and sizes there. A cord 4 mm thick and 200 meters long costs 529 rubles.
You can take a liter, two-liter or three-liter jar. Any plastic bottle will do.
I will make braids out of rope. I recently saw such a vase on the Internet, tried to weave it, but nothing worked, the weaving was not right, I twisted and turned until I accidentally turned the braid over, the whole secret is that the braids are attached to the jar not in the direction of weaving. And vice versa inverted.
1) There are 6 strands per one to make it thicker. You need to braid loosely, do not tighten the braids.
2) It is better to glue the edges with hot glue so that they do not unravel.
How to attach:
- I turned the jar over and glued thick pigtails, each one overlaps each other, you need to watch how often you do this, between the pigtails in the widest part of the jar there should be small gaps, about 0.5 cm.
More or less like this.
- Now each braid must be connected to each other with a rope. To do this, I threaded it under the strands so that the rope remained under the braid. I tied the ends into a knot and hid them under the braid.
- So I made three turns in a circle.
- I glued the braid at the neck and cut off the excess. I decorated the top with rope.
- I glued a cardboard circle to the bottom, then converted it to plastic.
