the strike that NL calls “out of pocket” is typically called a “brooklyn” strike or cross over strike. this is because a typical strike hits the pocket (for a right handed bowler, that’s between the 1/3 pins; 1/2 for lefties), whereas the brooklyn crosses over the line to the pocket, kicks the head pin and side pins over it’s generally less favored, simply because it’s less consistent. a strike is most consistent when the ball hits the head pin and king pin (middle pin)

Brooklyn strike was always better in the Wii games tho, pin physics are nutty. My fucking idiot 9 year old cousin bowled a 300 with Brooklyn strikes

My favorite bit is NL complaining about how ass his teammates are in soccer E league and then him, 1 minute later, abandoning the goal and walking the ball to his opponent so they can score a free point on the open goal and tie it up.

Glad he's using the pro gamer strat of aiming exactly for the pocket in bowling in order to spin the ball and therefore hit outside of the pocket. Never change NL

Crunched the numbers. Chicken nuggets are an average of 59 calories each without sauce. You would need to eat approximately 339 chicken nuggets. Now there can definitely be some variability involved if sauces were allowed and there was an average sauce use to chicken nugget ratio established, but for simplicity we could say that at most 339 McDonalds chicken nuggets would reach 20,000 calories. Or as I would call it, brunch.

I think what holds Ryan back in soccer is that he waits too long to kick it away and lets an enemy walk up to the ball and rebound his hit. He wants to dribble more and not always kick; however, he gotta pay more attention to the guy in front of him like he would in RL. Lots o goals lost due to it. Gettin better tho

He also tends to follow the ball instead of predicting where it will end up, even when it becomes obvious it will bounce off a wall into another direction, wasting stamina.

if you don't have a strike or spare, your score for that frame is simply the number of pins you knocked down if you get a spare, your score for that frame is 10 + your next bowl (so if you do a spare than get 5 pins, that spare frame is worth 15). with a strike, it's 10 + your next 2 bowls. so if you hit a strike then a 5 then a 4, that strike frame is worth 19. if you hit a strike after another strike, that counts as one bowl so you get another chance. if you strike there, you get a perfect frame on the original strike (10 + 10 +10 from the next 2 bowls) giving you 30. 10 perfect frames = a perfect game (10 frames, 30 points max, 300 total)

Another small note, in the last frame a strike or spare is only worth 10 points, there is no next bowl modifier. You can, however, bowl 3 times (if and only if you get a strike or spare). So a perfect game requires 3 strikes in the last frame, 12 strikes for the entire game

As someone currently in school I can confirm "the cool teacher" is very accurate

A local radio DJ tried to eat 500 chicken nuggets in 1 week and he couldnt do it. and this guy LOVES to eat. The first 100 are easy and after that it was awful, at one point he blended some up with water and that was probably a mistake
