Kierston, youtube's algorithm is bumping your channel because you have a lot of uploads and activity. Doing what you are doing will make it grow. Slowly, but it has results. People tend to habitually watch content creators who regularly post. #1 - Do not disclose any personal information about where you live, and things that can identify you. Or personal matters in general. This is critical. #2 - Never take things and criticisms in a personal way. People are inherently stupid, and will say the dumbest shit to get to you for no reason. If you focus on your base that actually enjoys your videos, if you pride in your videos, people that matter will jump on that. #3 - Audio. Audio audio audio - HUGE thing that people overlook. A small shirt microphone or something that can filter echos goes a VERY long way. (Also, avoid slurping and other focused weird noises) Another thing t is very low volume ambient background music. It has to be very low, slightly noticeable, but cannot impede on your speech in any way. There are a lot of royalty free background music search results that come up. #4 - Lighting, centering shots with a minimal background is very nice. #5 - No politics. Unless you make it a deliberate seperate segment, don't mix recreation and politics. #6 - Keep things short, edited, and simple. People have short attention spans. #7 - Last and not least ; Have fun with this. Really enjoy it. Don't make it wear you down and don't turn it into a job, unless it pays you well down the road. There are 2 youtubers that come to mind that work well for different reasons : ProZD and Kays Kitchen. ProZD has a very on point personality, but his video production is simple, and he has this quirky low volume jingle in the background I want you to take note. Kays Kitchen is a riot. This woman cooks atrocious food, like... really bad sometimes. And a lot of youtubers shit on her channel and make videos making fun of her skills. Her videos aren't professional, not edited heavily. However she has a loyal following because she is a really, really sweet lady, and won hearts over. She tries and succeeds at making videos. Whether she knows shes making bad food is not known, but naturally people fell in love with her. I will subscribe to your channel, and will check back.

Someone else told me the algorithm put my video in their feed and they never watch small creators. I didn't know it was because I was uploading a lot. So I will definitely keep at it. Thank you for this feedback. I like to do a lot of things (maybe the adhd lol) so I don't think I want my channel to be just one thing. I like to cook and I like to try new things and sometimes random stuff. But I do have a mic and a box light. I don't always use them but I will from now on. I'm still figuring out what works. I appreciate the comment very much. Thank you 😊
