Best adaptation. There was more story in this. Plus the chemistry between these two was amazing.Toby Stephen's facial expressions are perfect.Great acting!!

I loved this version the most . It had a good back story to Mr Rochesters life. The acting and chemistry between these two was fabulous !! I loved the under current of playfulness between them, while Rochester is trying to act like the stern master, but you can see the warmth and tender side of him .

He will always be Rochester to me and what I loved about this version was how she brought out the warmth and humanity in him. I loved the playfulness between the two of them. How they enjoyed each other's company - it just seemed more natural to me. I know they are both complex characters full of passion but that on full tilt all the time is a bit overdone. Make it cerebral and high and mighty - a bit stiff and distant from each other- and you wonder why they bother. I think these two got the balance right and they never shied away from the sexual attraction they had for each other.

the best jane eyre adaptation ever made

When Hinds’ Rochester doesn’t go in for a passionate kiss (which would be understandable), but instead holds her close and lets the tears flow we see how much he deeply loves and needs her. This scene is endearingly touching. Both Jane and Edward have been through so much heartbreak.

Such a fantastic adaptation. I could watch it everyday. I cannot buy DVD anywhere for less than $75. These two are the best Jane and Edward,, So much love!!!

The very best version ever. So well acted by all but particularly between Rochester and Jane.

This 2006 adaptation brought out the secret warmth and sense of fun in Mr Rochester, he wasn't always the brooding ,angry and bitter man. I loved this version the most.

Of the too many versions of JE the 2006 is vastly superior. Period.

Even if I'm a certified male chauvinist pig , this Ruth Wilson's Jane Eyre depiction can still make me teary eyed esp. in that scene when lightning and rain came falling down around a solitary oaktree after an outburst of passionate emotions spewed forth by the couple ala Beauty And The Beast (Blanca Suarez style). ................From the Philippines with love !

I like Timothy Dalton's version the best.

although I like older movies and versions of books and stuff. I find that the pairing can be a bit weird because the male lead looks a lot older than the female lead in older versions. I've only seen the 2011 version

Love the actors. But the story line doesn't completely follow the book. I was especialy disappointed when Jane tells him about Mason and he doesn't say I've got a blow Jane! Since when did Blanche's mother take over the party scene? And this supernatural stuff.

I think this screen version of the book is far from the auther. These maybe fine actor failed. Can't even compare with the 1983 film.

What does she see in him! Dictotorial, narcissistic, nasty egotist!

What? He is very kind keeps the child of that woman who cheated on him, and that crazy woman who destroys his life his marriage with Jane , he is disappointed with his past, but he has a sweet kind soul and loves Jane sincerely.
