My baby hadn't been born when I first started, but when she came and as she grew, I kept barely escaping situations that woukd have fit this song. She's 8 now. I've been out for 4 years. I see this and I feel torn. Glad my baby won't get a folded flag, but I also feel like I abandoned my brothers and sisters. It messes me up to think about it. I miss my Blue Family.

@@o5-18 I'm not talking about someone taking random music and putting it to different videos or tiktoks. This "poem" that "fits with either" isn't a poem at all. It is letters. Letters written every year by a little girl to an ordinary man that didn't ask to die, but wanted with all his soul for America to be free. That was the whole point of her tragedy. When he got on the plane, he didn't sign up to die. He wasn't military, he wasn't trained in physical combat, and he WASN'T A POLICE OFFICER. so all these people doing him dirty, like he CHOSE his JOB (like a police officer) sickens me. People give police and military medals and honor every day. Why? Because they chose their fate? Then this man deserves the highest honor for doing something no one was willing to. He didn't say "I don't get paid enough." He didn't say 'it isn't my job.' he said "Enough. I might not be able to go home, but I'll be damned if you make it to her first." A completely irrational thought, yet concise and probably accurate. So no... It isn't okay that they take this ACTUAL fallen hero's letters FROM HIS CHILD and turned it into a "let's worship those that chose to give everything," and it sickens me.

I was looking things up for my criminal justice class when I came across this video. Even though I haven't lost anyone like this I have lost my own father to cancer when I was 13. I am now 27, so hearing these girls talk to their father it hits home very much. I too have tried to be strong for my mother and my siblings. Though it is hard because there have been so many times where I question myself if I can do it or not.

Every Christmas, in honor of both, i hang a string of solid blue Christmas lights and a string of red Christmas lights. They are a memorial. The blue is not only for my dad, but also for all of the fallen officers around the world. The red is for all the fallen Firefighters around the world that lost their lives. For all who protect and serve. Thank you so much! These great sacrifices are always over shadowed by the media praying a tiny fraction of a very large machine. One bad act over shadows thousands of good acts, but know there are those of us that thankful for all you do.

I cried and I am so thankful for our police officers and I know some of as don't have a dad and I do but I am thankful I have him

I hate people who hurt police officers the police are great and protect everybody I am not American, I am from England, but I respect police all over the world as they take a part in protecting every country and everybody in the world by catching criminals who may change country Thank you

My neighbor died a couple weeks ago I really miss her but she is in peace 😢🙏 just pray rest in peace 🙏🙏
