I'm also trying to grind through HHP to edit houses on my new island... and it feels like I'm physically unable to just put their items down and leave 😭 i always tell myself I'm just gonna make a quick lil build for them and then end up wasting like an hour 😵‍💫

What has helped me to do it is I take the photo while the house description is still at the top of the screen, that way I could go back and knew what the theme was supposed to be lol

Sometimes I'd grind through and place only the required items, but go back later on and make an actual room.

It actually doesn't surprise me. I haven't uploaded any video in my own channel for months and I'm thinking of uploading videos of other Switch games (most notably Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey), and stopping ACNH content.

I am working on the same island ive had for 2 years now. I got the worst burnout, but decided to pick up to stream again. I have my buildings placed, now im terraforming and waterscaping around them, before i FINALLY get to decorate.

I have my island finished and am at 5 stars. I refuse to restart it because I love it so much and love all my villagers. Besides the fact that I have SO MANY DIYs and items and money lol. I just get on every few days and talk to my villagers. I do change it up with each season though so that is fun. Up soon is Easter which I love

Same here! I've had the same it literally came out (bought it a week after it released) I'm never going to restart my island, I've come too far to do that, I love all my villagers as well, not to mention, so many diys, items and money myself lol. I literally still go on almost all the time, I do change it up with every season/certain period that comes and go with theme that fits it. I just started taking down my winter stuff a few days ago and setting up/decorating for this month

I finished my forever island about 6 months ago. Made my dream address, but could never delete the island that took me a couple years to complete. I love it too much. So, I bought another Switch, another copy of the game, made a new account, linked it to my old account so we could share online and started from scratch. It was fun, and I had momentum as I was flattening the entire island, getting the villagers I wanted with Amiibo, making do my way through HHP, redecorating all my villager homes, and then set about designing my entrance....and just...lost...steam. :/ I have this entire empty canvas now to finally shape with all the experience I accrued during my initial island, plus tons of videos by creators like Lex, and I have no idea where to begin. It's overwhelming. I have a concept, but I'm afraid to start terraforming for fear I'll screw it up. Lol. How dumb is that? I just want this island to be perfect and I'm not sure how to realize my vision with it. So I just stopped playing. I want to go back at some point and try again, because honestly, despite all the myriad cozy games around now (I've played Fae Farm and Coral Island) ACNH is just kind of my home. No game gives me the peaceful, content vibes I get there. Anybody else experience something like this?

I think if you want it to be perfect it is too hard to begin. The standard is too high and the fun is no longer there. I think it will help if you build what you you like and see if it is what you want and drop the perfection. You can always change it if you dont like it. 😊

While playing Happy Home Paradise, I found out that you can also look for clients in the Cafe, Restaurant and Clothing store too besides the front part of the beach. I hope that helps anyone! (After unlocking them that is.)

You actually don’t have to put the villagers requested items in their homes! After the first few houses you complete you’ll be able to put the items either inside or outside their homestead.

If you ever did quit ACNH I wouldn't blame you, it's natural. AC isn't the sorta game to run on forever, nor do we get instalments that frequently. Or, you could do a playthrough of ACNL like a lot of people have done

I stopped playing before fall ended on my island I’ve been working on for 2 years. I caught all the fish and sea critters,made almost all the food, got most of the diy’s….just got burnt out. I may restart.🤷‍♀️

Besides decorating (and finish) islands, I still do dailies. I'm looking who's crafting, go on a boat tour with Kapp'n, drinking cofffee at the Roost, finding my bottle on the beach, visit HHP and grab the bottle on the beach and the food recipe in the kitchen. On Mondays I check out Harv's and see what's new in the shops there. Sometimes I also buy turnips on Sundays just because the gamble can be fun. So yeah, besides creating islands, I actually play the game as well 😊

You can't though 🥺 I mean, you can, and you should if that's what you really want, but also.. nu-uh 🥺 I'm waiting for the snow to go the heck away so I can start building my island; I wanna do a natural/forestcore island and I just can't in the snow.. But I don't wanna TT because this is a new island, and is meant to be my forever island, so I don't want to miss any events or villagers' birthdays. So for the time being I just dig up my fossils, find my daily message bottle, dive for Pascal, take a boat tour and check the DLC island to see what's for sale. Already did my 30 vacation homes and flattened my island.

Stitches did the same thing with Kiki on my island. He seems to love Coco though lol

I go in phases it seems like when I get to terraforming I loose my vision. Then I stop playing, however, I restarted my island once again. I have villagers picked out, island colors, theme, and flowers. However, I’m not rushing to terraforming this time. Today I got terraforming but I’m gonna flatten the island maybe slowly this time. I might do it in halves or fourths

I'm still trying to get all my dreamy villagers and finish off my island. Also diys. I've been playing since day one and have never reset my island and I'm still struggling to finish off the diys.

The part when you were finishing up carries house 🤣🤣 it's giving "intrusive thoughts"

I actually thought you were being serious about the whole "quitting" thing :P I've actually reached a point with my island where I've stopped playing. It started when I got Pikmin 4 for Christmas and I wanted to dedicate more time to that. But yeah... I'm debating about restarting my island to start fresh but I'm not sure if it'll cure my burnout. Plus I'm afraid that the moment I do restart, something I've never done, they'll announce Switch 2 and I'd be able to use it to make a new island so I wouldn't have to delete my old one. And I don't have Switch online to save it even I wanted to.

ngl I would play this for the rest of my life if I could roll my island without losing my HHP achievement. I'm currently stuck in analysis paralysis on my current island because I really want to just start over but cannot STOMACH the idea of having to speed run HHP _again_
