I understand the part about feeling as though your mom’s increased in needs is affecting you. A lot of people in their mid twenties + /thirties now are facing this where they have to start taking care of their elderly parents. The parents sometimes themselves begin to become more needy and dependent but not everyone is like that. For some reason, some parents are very strong headed and independent but others feel they can’t handle life by themselves anymore so turn to their kids while others simply feel their kids have an inherent obligation to them regardless. My older siblings used to turn to me for whatever issues my parents had cause I was the single girl with no boundaries and no kids even though I lived farther away (like 1.25 hours away from everyone). But now that I’m married and starting my own family, moved even farther (2.5-3 hours away), and currently pregnant, both my parents and siblings have become somewhat resentful of me not helping out anymore. Well for my siblings, they used to use work and their kids as an excuse not to help out and during that time when they had increasing responsibility from their own families, my parents helped them out financially and I was in place to do what my parents asked me to do for them. But now I’m in the same position with upcoming new child, I feeling need to focus on my own new family now and I have to do it without financial help from anyone so I feel I have to take a step back from my parents. Unfortunately this change in expected family roles is causing conflict and unhappiness within my family; they haven’t checked in on my pregnancy at all the entire 6 months 🤷‍♀️ . Somehow this ended up as a rant… lol Anyways it sounds like you’re the only one your mom can turn to now since you guys moved to Minnesota and you’re her immediate relative. Idk girl it’s a tough spot to be in especially if your mom has no other social support network or she hasn’t made friends or is part of any groups in your new community.

Hi Julie, you should be there for your mother especially if she has no one else in her life. My mother just died on June 4th a day after my birthday. She passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer and I seen her take her last breath because she died at home. 😭 You are lucky that you still have your mother. My sister's and brothers have no more parents because they both passed away from cancer. 😢

I recommend succulents as flowers since they last longer 😊

I really love your videos.❤ I lost my husband and I'm living alone for the very first time in a long time. And you give me inspiration that it's o k to be alone and I do not have any friends since I lost them after my husband died 19years ago.

Lee-chee Don't know how to spell it but I know that's how you pronounce it and these are my favorite fruit ever!!! One of our neighbors used to grow them in his backyard right across the street now I have to go to a fruit stand to get them lol They were better when they were free 😁

Both pronunciations are correct. It's dependent on the type of language; "lie-chee" has the Cantonese elements whereas "lee-chee" has the Mandarin elements.
